Choosing the right guy

Chapter six

"what''s that smell" I said waking up. "its my eggs, sausage, pancakes, and bacon" Justin said. "it smell's really good" I said. "well why don't you have some" he said.  I came into the kitchen and grabbed a plate and put food on it. "pass me syrup" I said. "here you go" Justin said. "can I have some orange" I asked. "ill get that for you" he said. "you going to the 5k run today" I asked. "ill be working today so probably not but tell me who wins because I'm curios" he said. grabbed my things and went home after I ate breakfast. "Abigail me and sam hooked up again" I said on the phone on the way home. "no way" she said. "yes  way and I just found out he might not be coming to the 5k run" I said. "well thats great now all you have to do is find out if sam is coming" she said. "I just texted him a few minutes ago' I said. "what did he say" she asked. "he said I'm not coming but ill be watching it on tv" he said. "oh yeah the news is gonna play it live" she said. "I gotta go I need to get freshened up and ready for the 5k run" I said. "okay bye ill see you there" she said. when I got home I took a shower and changed clothes. I then put my makeup on and fixed my face and hair up. when it was time to leave for the 5k run I drove up to where the starting line is and parked my car in the parking lot. When I got out I saw Sam warming up. "Hey Sam you getting some warmups in" I asked. "Yeah I need to be ready for this race and show'em who's boss" he said. "That's the spirit" I said. "Where's Abigail" he asked. "She is parking her car" I said. "Did she bring her husband" he also asked. "Yep" I said. "I should get to the starting line" he said. I gave him a kiss on the lips and he kissed me back. I watched as he went to the starting line and blew him a kiss. He blew one back and I went to go find Abigail.  "Hey Abigail" I said. "Hey bestie" she said. "Oh look Sean and Doug are here" I said. "Hey gals" Sean said. "Hey Sean" i said. "I'm Doug" Doug said. "Well it's nice to meet Doug Abigail" said. Doug and Sean kissed each other and we all stood there waiting for the run to start . "Look the race is starting" I said "and I see Sam right in front". "Go Sam" we all shouted. A while later some of the runners were nearing the finish line. I saw Sam in the front row and I blew him a kiss again and he picked up his pace. He crossed the finish line and won the race. I rushed over to Sam and jumped into his arms and said "Sam you did it you won the run"I said. "I did and it was thanks to your kiss" he said. "Maybe I should give you a victory kiss" I said. I kissed him on the lips for minute and let go. "Why don't we grab some lunch together" he said. "Sure just text me when your ready" I said. A moment later I went to the location Sam texted me. "Sam are you ready to go in" I said walking up to him. "Yeah" he said. "Table for two" I said to the hostess. "Did you like how I won the run" Sam said as we were getting seated. "Yeah and I think your story might get the front page" I said sitting down. "You think" he said. "I'm not certain but I know at least it will be on the newspaper" I said. "What would you two like to drink" our waiter said. "I'll have a tea" I said. "Water for me" Sam said. "Okay I'll be back with a basket of bread" our waiter said. A moment later our bread and drinks came and our waiter took our order. "What would you like to order" the waiter asked me. "I would like the steak and baked potato" I said. "And for you" he asked Sam. "I want the American cheeseburger" he said. "I'll bring some more bread out, refill your cups, and get your orders situated" our waiter said. "So do you have any plans this weekend" Sam asked. "No" I said. "Well how about me and you take a spa day" Sam said. "Sure I could use a break" I said. Our food arrived as we were talking. "Umm this looks delicious" I said. After we ate our food and paid the bill we went our separate ways. "This goodbye" I said. "So I'll pick you up on Friday or Saturday and take you to the spa resort" Sam said. "I guess" I said. He gave me a kiss and walked me to my car.  I went home and started my new assignment for the newspaper.
