The rest of my day went as usual after lunch I went to world geography and so on. Blake gave me a ride home so she could help me set up for my birthday party.

As we walked in I yelled, "Mom, I'm home!"

Blake yelled as well, "I'm here as well Mrs. Cook!" When we walked into the kitchen my mom was chopping carrots and celery with a smile on her face.

"Well, hello ladies how were y'all's day?" She asked in her slight southern accent that she can't drop. It's not you could notice the accent when she talks, like those people who are on the cooking channel. You can only hear it when she says certain words.

"Good." I say like I do every other day she asks me that question. But today it was in fact a lie. Today was not just good it was great and I can’t wait until tonight. I know it sounds totally cliché but tonight couldn’t go wrong. I smiled and Blake looked at me like I was crazy, but i just rolled my eyes and shook my head and dragged her up my stairs to my bedroom.

She plopped on my bed like she does every time she comes over and gets out her phone. I look at her to tell her that i need and want to talk she doesn’t look up for a couple of minutes. So I get closer and creeper. she looks up and isn't even fazed. “Do you have something to say Jordan?" She asked.

I sigh and just talk, "So tonight, as you know is my birthday party." I just couldn't help but smile when I said that. Blake just rolled her eyes as if telling me, "No dur Sherlock," but i just kept going. "We have a lot to do so i thought we should start setting up around 4:30..." Blake abruptly cut me off.

"4:30? That’s in 45 minutes I can barely get out of this bed in that amount of time. Plus, your party doesn’t start until 7 that’s why we're having  it on a Friday and not a Tuesday so people can stay late and we can procrastinate setting up." She ranted with the tone that all of that was obvious.

I sighed and shook my head, "Oh sweetie, how long have you known me." Then got off my memory foam mattress that is covered in valley green sheets and a floral comforter and got Blake by the hands and dragged her off my bed with a moan coming from her. She still refused to get off so i went for it, i whipped her off my bed and she landed on the floor with a thud.

At first she looked like she was about to cry, and my face softened with worry. She looked up at me and started to laugh. Relief immediately rushed through my body and i let a smile show.

Blake sounded like she couldn’t breath when she let out, "You should h-have seeeen your face." I could see tears coming out of her eyes.

I rolled my eyes and hit her on her leg. "Whatever, Blake, let’s go see what my mom’s making. Blake got up off the ground, still laughing slightly, and nodded and we headed down stairs.
