As we drove to school I kept thinking what a wonderful day it would be, and like I said before it wasn't. When I walked into the school I had a smile on my face, but when I left school I did not. It all started like this, so I was walking down the hallway to first block when this obnoxious cheerleader "tripped" me and I landed face first. At first I was shocked thinking who would do something like that, then I turned around, an of course it had to be Estelle. She was queen bee, here at J. W. Bush High School, and see ruled with an iron fist so you could say. Anytime she felt threatened by anyone she stated a plan to take them down.
I jumped up and was ready to punch her. "What the he-!" Someone pulled me back before I could finish my sentence.
And of course it was Blake she was my savior when it came to these things, but it still gets on my nerves. "What do you want?" I yelled at her. I looked around; the woman dragged me into janitor's closet. "Why did you bring me here and what is so important you had to stop me from uncapping a bottle of butt-kick on Estelle?"
She sighed and rolled her eyes like she usually does. I'm fully capable of beating someone up, but every time I threaten someone I would I never go through with it. "One I was trying to find you because I saw two really cute new kid, two; someone told me that Estelle tripped you so I knew something was going to happen." She said in matter-of-fact tone because like usual she was right.
I sighed, as much as I hated saying it I did, "Well, thanks Blake. I could have taken her on!" She stopped me right there.
"Yea, I doubt that, but guess what!" she asked me.
I took in a deep breath and knew I was going to regret this, but I asked anyway, "What?" She smiled and started going on about something with the drama club and the play that she was in. I didn't realize what time it was until my stomach started growling, I looked at my phone we had missed two periods already and there was only about three minutes until lunch. While I was listening to her talk about as many random things that she would think of, I had sat down. Now that lunch was close, I stood up and stopped her. "Blake, it's almost lunch and you have been for like um, well two hours now."
She kind of giggled, "Oops, sorry." she got up from her spot. The bell rang and I thanked the lord that I had an excuse to get out of there. I snuck out of the closet when there was a group of jocks passed by. As much as I loved Blake, she got on my nerves sometimes. I went to my locker to get my lunch because, the stuff they feed us here tastes and looks like crap. I opened my locker and moved my thrown in books out of the way to get to my lunch that was packed in a brown, paper bag. I felt like someone was watching me so, I turned around. All i saw was people going to lunch one an A-day. Still, I couldn't shake the feeling that someone was following or watching me. I thought it must be nerves, like when I thought I saw something this morning.
When I walked into the lunch room Blake came running up to me all excited with her up-to-no-good smile on. Then her smile proved her well, and she yelled at the top of her lungs, "Hey everybody listens up today is my girl, Jordan's, birthday." And off she went with the song, "HAPPY BIRTHDAY..." I should have expected this she was Blake after all; her motto is go big or go home for good reason.
As I went and sat down people where still singing, i wish i could say this is the most embarrassing moment of my life but, that would be a lie. Blake never got embarrassed she was like immune to anything weird or well, embarrassing. I sat down and got out my lunch and Blake sat down next to me finishing the song smiling.
"So, is your birthday all you've imagine it would be?" She asked. I just rolled my eyes at her; in fact it was so far one the good side of some of my birthdays. In third grade I got my knee stuck in our play ground and in sixth grade I got a strawberry-banana smoothie poured on my head by the great and wonderful Estelle. I sighed and continued eating my lunch. And yet again, I had the feeling someone was watching me so I turned around the two, twin new kids were both looking at me. I just turned around grabbed my stuff and left the lunch room with Blake right on my heels.
