Eden narrowed his eyes as he gazed at the wall of his office, his hands tucked neatly behind his back. Brandon had returned from his little fight with the abomination, and he was acting completely out of character because of it.

It turns out that his stupid goody-two-shoes counterpart had let his demon take full control of his body, and nearly killed him in the process. Luckily Brandon was able to somehow walk back here, with a gaping puncture wound going through his chest and out his back. But that's something we don't talk about.

The demon had taken the eye from him and ever since he seemed so much quieter, not mentally deranged anymore. A few days ago Eden would give away his magic to have Brandon shut up, but now he would give up all of his follower's lives just for the freak to act like a psycho again.

Once Brandon had gotten back he just collapsed onto the floor, saying that his brother was dead. After an easy search, his body confirmed it, once they found his body all bloody with chest slit open and all they had thrown it off the cliff for the wolves.

Ever since he'd gotten back he would just sit down in a chair and stare at a wall, at first Eden assumed he was being a baby about his wound (which they had bandaged, of course, they don't want bloodstains everywhere) but even after it had progressively healed he still just sat and stared.

Eden hesitantly walked into the room that Brandon had resided in for about a week and a half now, his red eyes narrowing as he caught sight of the white-haired male in the corner still looking at the wall.

Eden cleared his throat to make his presence known, after no reply he did it again.

"I can hear you, I'm not deaf." Brandon hissed gruffly, the tone of his voice lowered drastically which surprised the user of illusion magic.

Before the brunette could utter a word Brandon ripped his gaze from the oh so interesting wall, his right eye still that blood-red that it had always been, but his left eye was seemingly screwed shut, heavy bags under his eyes.

Eden glared at the white-haired male, his lack of sleep reminded him of Micheal. The black-haired male pulled his robe up, trying his best to avoid eye contact.

He heard Brandon snort and looked back to see that he had stood up, "What? You would think that I've gotten a disease that spreads by eye-contact." After a minute or so Brandon raised his brow, the only one that he's got on his face.

Then Brandon smiled, it wasn't a big one, just a small smirk. Eden couldn't help but feel some heat rise to his cheeks, he mentally scowled at himself for feeling like that. He wasn't stupid, he knew the signs of having feelings for someone, but that wasn't the first thing on his mind. Eden was surprised that Brandon had even smiled, it wasn't crazed like it normally was, and instead, it was calming.

"My brother... he was a horrible person, and I know that. But I loved him, and I still do..." Brandon narrowed his eye at the illusion mage "Back when were younger I wasn't right in the head, I'm still not, I guess I was a bit calmer..." he confessed

Eden raised a brow "What do you mean?" he spat.

"I mean I was much more peaceful and turned to meditation to calm my mental state, but Ritchie manipulated me into letting my illnesses take over." Brandon tilted his head to the side slightly, his white hair falling out of his face. Revealing that he'd opened his eyes, it was the same red that his other was, but it lacked the life that shone in any living thing's eyes. The mark that had surrounded his eye was still on his face causing the death that glazed his eye to stick out like a sore thumb.

Eden would never admit it, but he'd always found the white-haired male attractive. His crazed smile, his laugh, everyone would probably call him a freak if they found out, but that's just a few things that he found attractive. After Brandon came back and everyone noticed that he'd changed, Eden thanked the demi-gods because he thought that since his personality wasn't the same, he wouldn't be attracted to him anymore.

Only now did he realize how wrong he was.

"So..." Eden snorted mockingly, "You're saying that you're a goody-two-shoes like the other y-"

"Hell no!" Brandon snarled, getting into a stance in which he would most likely pounce like a crazed animal from. The brunette was taken aback, not only because the other had maneuvered with such ease, but because Eden had only now realized that he'd he had removed the bandages that were wrapped along his entire chest.

"I'm nothing like him! Don't ever compare me to that filthy imposter, he stole my name, my identity, my entire life!" The white-haired male shrieked, his red eyes wide with rage. The illusion mage took a step back, he would never admit it but, he felt threatened. Brandon paused and his eyes softened, he carefully settled his arms on the bloodied, scabbing wound on his lower chest and quickly sat back down.

A few minutes of silence passed before Eden reluctantly grabbed one of the chairs next to Brandon, pulling it out and taking a seat next to the white-haired male.

The illusion mage narrowed his eyes as Brandon lifted his arm to reach for an open box on the table, Eden had only somehow noticed it. His eyes sparkled with surprise as he identified what was in the box, it held some donuts. Well, to be precise...

Jelly Donuts

Eden stared at the pastries with hunger glazed in his eyes, and he hesitant edged a hand forward to snag one. Brandon must've seen this because his hand quickly snapped to the box of treats, pulling it closer to him protectively.

The brunette quietly whined and plopped his head onto the table, eyeing the box. He heard Brandon huff and perked as he heard something scuff across the table and towards him. The brunette took in a deep breath as the scent of the donuts flooded his senses, and he looked up to see that the taller villain had shoved the box next to his head.

Eden's hand snaked to the box of treats [ ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) ], his eyes locked onto Brandon as he did so. After seeing that the white-haired male showed no intention of pulling the box away again the illusion mage quickly grabbed one out of the pack, bringing it to his mouth.

Brandon also picked up another donut for himself, closed the donut box, and shoved it away from the two of them. Eden quickly ate the donut in famished bites, was this all he had to do now?

I mean, lounging around and eating donuts all day sounded amazing, but...

Would he go from feared 'monster' of Atlantide to a donut eating gremlin?

Eh, sure... he'd just try to take over Atlantide next week. The illusion mage grumbled and flopped onto the table, deciding that the awkward silence has lasted long enough.

"So..." Eden hummed "You still mad at me, eh?"

"I'm not mad at you..." Brandon snorted shrilly, glaring at the brunette, who's eyes narrowed teasingly.

Eden smirked, "Aw, is that because you love me?"

"Yup," the white-haired male scoffed sarcastically, "I totally love you."
