Don't Be Late

I keep my head down under my blue hood as I squeeze through the impatient people of Myardbing Upon Vendockton, whispering a monotone "Quugseh yug," "Watch it," to the people whose toes are being crunched under my feet. I have to get to the train, I can't be late again. I take my hands off my hood and start pushing harder, ignoring the startled cries and rude shouts of "Koucumg!" "Peasant!"  My night blue hood falls off of my head and my wavy, shoulder length, golden blonde hair spills out and is like a beacon, along with my pale skin, in the dreary city atmosphere. My grey eyes scan over various heads until I see the station up ahead with a mound of people waiting, good I hadn't missed the train. I push ahead some more, and probably knock over a few people, until I'm standing under the brown sheltered area that is the station. I hear the sound of whooshing air, and the train is silently pulling into place. I get on with everyone else, slip nemoi into the machine and find a somewhat comfortable seat, once everyone is seated the train quietly slips away.

Vendockton High flashes by in the window and I sit up, the next stop will be mine. The train pulls to a stop and a mechanical voice announces,

"Vendockton High School, east side of town, 1.70108e-13 Light Years away, ten people exiting."

I don't how they know how many people are getting off, I'm not that curious, I've learned that's how you stay alive. I gracefully hop down and get out of the way of the boarding passengers. Twenty minutes later I see a crowd of chatting teenagers chatting and walking my way, seconds later I hear running footsteps and excited shouts,

"Kynlee! Kyyynnleeeee!" I look up to see a tall 17 year old with short black hair, light blue eyes, and pale skin, clutching books and folders with a grey shirt and ripped jeans and Coniverse shoes with rainbows drawn on, running towards me. She has multiple metal piercings in her ears and face with colorful bands tied on her wrists. Trailing behind her are two boys, one is 16 with shaggy black hair, light skin with small stubble on his chin and upper lip, and stormy blue eyes, wearing an army green hoodie and large jeans with black Nick brand shoes, he looks very similar to the girl but I know they're not related. The second boy's ethnicity is different from ours, he has dark skin, multiple braids of dark brown hair held out of his face by a brown rag tied around his forehead, and light brown eyes. He's wearing a denim blue tank top with a stone necklace around his throat and acid washed jeans with brown Coniverse shoes and leather ropes tied around his wrists. He gets a mischievous glint in his eye and starts to stalk forward with his arms outstretched, the other boy is holding in laughs, I realize that he means to trip the girl!

"Apollo Rivera! Don't you dare!" I call out, getting all of their attention. The girl turns around to see Apollo's arms still stretched out and shrieks, acting like she was mortified at the thought of tripping in public, even though she could easily stab a dagger in his heart with chilling accuracy before he could touch her.

"Apollo!" She whines, the other boy couldn't hold in his laughter anymore and starts gasping for breath and kneeling over, she glares at him also,

"Briar! Is Kynlee my only friend?" I smile and give her a hug and whisper,

"Probably vocgyuo." (bestie) With my hand wrapped around her shoulders, I stand on my toes and shout,

"Paige is my best friend now!" The boys stop laughing and glance up with panic on their faces and rush to me and start talking at the same time,

"That's no fair Kynlee! You're both girls!"

"But I didn't do anything!"

"I was just messing around!"

"He didn't actually do it!"

I listened to their pathetic whining some more then put a stop to it,

"Ok, ok, I forgive you, but that doesn't mean I'm not going hard on you at training!" The boys groan while Paige huffs,

"Well I don't forgive them."
