Sweet Revenge

Kabanata 1

"Have you seen your brother, Razey?" Bungad ni mama pagkalabas ko pa lamang sa kotse. She looked uneasy and tired. Well, she's always like that whenever kuya Reeze is out of her sight.

"Mom..relax. Kuya's just late. Baka dumaan pa 'yon sa office after school." Pag-aalo ko sa kanya before i kissed her cheeks.

She look older than her age. Siguro ay dahil na rin sa stress from a tragedy years ago na hanggang ngayon ay dala-dala n'ya pa rin.

"He's been late for few hours already!" Paghihisterya niya.

I took my phone out and dialed Reeze's number.

The number you have dialed-

I sighed. "Maybe he's in a meeting, mom. Don't worry, I'll go check on him. But first, you need to relax yourself so i can go at peace. Okay, mom?" She only nods while massaging her forehead.

I gestured our personal nurse to attend mom. She immediately ran to her side to check on her blood pressure.

"You take care, anak. Call me when you got there."

I smiled to reassure her that everything's fine and nothing to worry about as i ran to my car's direction.

My car quietly roared to life and i took no time as i drove it fast.

I understand mom by acting that way. We nearly lost Reeze 5 years ago due to Dad's business competitors. He got 3 bullet shots in his stomach that nearly sent him to death. He was in a coma for six months at himalang nagising siya right before mom's 40th birthday. It was the greatest gift for her and i was beyond happy that Reeze, my twin brother, finally wakes up.

I parked my car outside the building and immediately saw Reeze's car not far away from where i parked. Relief washed over me. Lumabas ako ng sasakyan. Kailangan ko pa ring makita siya para makumpirmang narito nga ang dambuhalang iyon.

I used to tease him "dambuhala" cause i always get deadly glare in exchange that i adored the most. Well, he's not really fat or big as what i have chose to call him. He's lean and muscular. I just want to make fun of him sometimes so he won't get old too early because of tons and tons of paperworks in the office.

Pagpasok ko pa lamang ng reception area ay natanaw ko kaagad ang receptionist na malayo pa'y nakangiti na sa gawi ko.

There are people scattered around the area. Some are in the sofa, some are busy going in and out, some are just making a noise. I smiled at those who greeted me.

I flashed my complete white teeth as i greeted the pale receptionist a good day.

"Have you seen my brother Reeze?" I asked.

Luming-linga ako sa paligid ngunit hindi nakatakas sa paningin ko ang pisngi niyang bahagyang pumula just by hearing my brother's name.

Alright, he looks good and very lean and i won't be surprised by the number of women who literally throws themselves to kuya.

Nilingon ko ulit ang receptionist nang hindi ito sumagot. Mas lalo siyang pinamulahan ng mukha. Seriously, what's with this girl?

Tinaasan ko siya ng kilay. She may be friendly and all but damn I'm not in the mood to watch her blush and the fact that Reeze was the reason behind it sucks. Binabatukan ko nga lang sa bahay iyon, e.

"A-ah.. Nasa board meeting pa po, Miss. May inasikaso kasi ang dad nyo kaya... Si Reeze.."

"Okay, i get it. Thank you."

Hindi ko na pinatapos ang kanyang sasabihin dahil nakuha na rin naman ang gusto kong malaman. Sa wakas ay pwede na akong umuwi at magpahinga. Sumagi sa isipan ko ang kama kong malambot at ang malamig na simoy ng hangin mula sa veranda. I also imagined myself in a warm bath tub, indulging myself in a flower-scented water for hours. I bat my eyelashes dreamily while biting my lower lip. The last few hours are tiring that even a minute sleep was becoming a part of my dreams.
