(Y/N)'s POV

Another simple day at school, another day of feeling a little lonely. I wish my parents drove me to and from school, but they both work full-time, so I don't really get to see them that much. Sometimes I think they just don't want to see me and I feel even worse those times. Being a loner at this school, there are barely a few things that seem to make me happy. One of those things is seeing the lonely, spiky-haired boy on the same bus I take to go to school and come back home. Today as I rode back home, he was sitting on the other side of the bus near the window checking his phone. He seemed distracted in what he was looking at, and I couldn't help but stare at his gentle features. His eyes looked so sad though, and whenever I saw him at school, he seemed to withdraw himself from everyone at school. Could he be as lonely as me? He shouldn't have to be, no one should ever have to. Taking a bold risk, I decided to get up from my seat and sit close to him on the bus.

He didn't seem to notice at first, then I said to him, "Hi", and he turned to face me and a smile appeared on his face as he responded with, "Hey." His smile and his voice made me nervous, and then I asked him when he went back to his phone, "So, uh, you nervous about the midterms next week?" He shrugged and told me, "Eh, I'm pretty sure I'm gonna flunk anyway, so not really, no. You?" "I'm not really worried about most of my classes since I'm getting A's in them, but still, a big test like that could bring down my average. I hope I do well, at least." He nudged my arm with his elbow and commented, "I'm pretty sure you will." I smiled at him and said, "Thanks, I'm sure you'll do well too." We were quiet again for a while and then he asked me, "Are you going to the MCR concert next fall?" I looked up at him, surprised, "How did you know I like MCR?" "Your shirt told me." I looked down at my Black Parade shirt and blushed, forgetting how obvious I am when it comes to my music taste. Mostly the reason why everyone avoids me at school. They think my taste in music is too "goth" or "moody". They just wouldn't understand it makes me happy and understood.

"Actually, I couldn't get the tickets because I didn't have the money on time to buy them", I explained to him, feeling depressed I wouldn't be able to see my favorite band of all time, "It's fine, at least they're back together. I was so happy when they announced their reunion." "Me too", he was grinning when he said that, the sight making my heart flutter, "I was screaming all around the house and my brothers got annoyed when I did. Said if I didn't shut up, the neighbors would start complaining." We both laughed at that, and then he faced me once more, "I was able to get some tickets though, for me and my girlfriend." Oh. He has a girlfriend. Wait, why am I disappointed? I don't even know him. He continued, "Unfortunately, we broke up after I found out she was cheated on me." "Oh, I'm so sorry." He shrugged again and then pulled out something from his back pocket, revealing the tickets for the concert. I gasped at the sight of them, and then he took one of them and handed one to me. I was confused, "Wait, what are you doing?" He smirked and answered, "Invting you to come with me to the concert."

I lost my breath when he said that, and I shook my head in disbelief. "You-You can't do that", I argued, "You don't even know me." He put the tickets back in his pocket and out of nowhere, took my hand, "I would like to." I couldn't speak, the look in his eyes were intimidating as they looked deeply in mine and I realized he was serious. I looked down at my lap and smiled and blushed in embarrassment, flattered he would do something so kind. He grinned again and said, "I'm Remington", and then asked me, "What's your name?" I looked up at him and told him, "(Y/N)". He brought my hand closer to him and planted a soft and brief kiss on it while commenting, "It's nice to meet you, (Y/N)", making me even more flustered than I wanted. I noticed my stop was here and so I got up from my seat and prepared to get off, but he held it tight, keeping me from leaving. "So, I'll see you at school?", he asked with a glint of eagerness in his eyes, and I smiled as I nodded. He grinned and winked at me before finally letting go of my hand. I stepped off the bus and started walking home, smiling like an fool after realizing I won't be lonely anymore.
