Chapter 4

Y/n's Pov

"You're all done thanks for being so still"I slip off my gloves and put them to the side on the table.

The customer admires the cling film covered tattoo and smiles at me "No problem thanks for doing such a good job"

He reaches into his back pocket and pulls out some money and some extra for the tip.

"I'll see you around"he gets up off the chair and exits the parlour,I take out my phone to look at the time.

20:15

I'm so fucking glad my shift is over!

I pack everything away and get ready to leave,grabbing my coat I remember that Ariana wanted me to text her when i had finished work.

Slipping my phone out of my pocket I press her contact and text her that I've finished work and I'll be waiting outside.

I take my bag and leave the shop after saying goodbye to Thalia who's just doing some paperwork before she packs up.

Malak left quite awhile ago because he was free and didn't have anymore appointments so it was just me by myself at my station.

I lean myself against the wall and just play a quick game on my phone to pass the time as Ariana gets here.

A massive gust of wind appears out of nowhere almost knocking me over,a shiver runs over my body and I almost feel like going back inside but I know I'm gonna get into an argument with Thalia and end up getting hurt.

I look at my phone but shake my head when I realise I'm being silly,i can't really hold it against Ariana for taking long if I only texted her like a few seconds ago.

Calm it down a little!

I blow out a breath and patiently wait to see her car come around the corner.

I rub my eyes as the time goes past and I don't receive anything from her telling me why she's taking long.

I really just want to go home and sleep.

I look at the time again for like the 100th time and see it's almost 9,I've been out here freezing my ass off for almost half an hour.

I wait for like 5 more minutes but then decided that I've had enough,I push myself off the wall and walk away from the parlour.

I go to the bus stop and surprisingly it says the bus is supposed to come in a couple of minutes,letting out a content sigh I sit down and text Ariana that I'm not at the parlour anymore.

I decided not to tell her that I'm taking the bus...don't ask me why I just feel like she'll go ballistic.

I don't know why I'm feeling like this when we're both adults and she doesn't decide what I do with my life.

When I see the bus in sight I put my phone in my pocket and step onto it,I smile at the driver and scan my pass before going to the empty seats right at the back.

I let out a huge sigh as I sit down,the aching feeling in my arms and legs slowly subduing the more I relax.

I look out of the window and watch all the buildings,houses and trees go past as we pass.

The street lights blending in into a yellow blur making me feel a little dizzy but nonetheless I enjoy the fact I'm going to be home soon.

I'm glad the fact that the bus is practically empty because there's no one being loud or rude that will piss me off.

Peace sometimes is the greatest thing.

My phone starts to go off in my pocket but I press the button through my jeans that declined the call immediately and turn off my phone.
