It had been three weeks since the call, three weeks of Katsuki calling the number begging to hear the familiar voice of his long lost best friend but getting no answer. Katsuki had thought about telling Inko but he decided not to as he thought it might give her false hope as he didn't even know what city Izuku was even talking about.

Katsuki sighed to himself as he walked through the shopping district resigning himself to look for a part-time job to at least bring in some money. Katsuki had been walking around for hours and was getting hot and tired, he was in the heart of Harajuku and needed a break. He stepped into the first cafe that he saw, ordered an iced coffee and sat by the window. He looked around the cafe, just observing. 'Couple, couple, family, a girl with black hair and piercings, a guy with purple hair, a guy with forest green hair, a-... wait! Curly dark green hair!

IZUKU???' Katsuki straightened up at started to look for the mop of messy green hair. He looked to where he saw the guy but he couldn't. 'Of course not. I haven't gotten much sleep and I've been worried about Izu all week so of course, my mind decided to fuck with me.'

"Do you mind if I take this chair?" A tired, monotone voice spoke close to Katsuki. Katsuki jumped a little then looked up to see the guy with purple hair, he looked very tired.

"Oh, yeah sure," Katsuki muttered, he was slightly intrigued by the guy so he watched him walk away. Then he saw him. Izuku sat at a table, laughing and smiling, surrounded by two or three people. A girl with fluffy pink hair, another girl with slightly darker pink hair and glasses and a guy with black spiky hair plus nasty scars covering his body and face, finally the purple-haired guy that took the chair from Katsuki's table. Katsuki stood and found himself slowly making his way towards the table. The others at the table noticed him but not Izuku... or so it seemed.

"Izu?" Katsuki tried after a moment. Izuku spun around and looked to his friend in shock.

"Kacchan! Oh my god! What are you doing here?" Izuku blurted as he stood.

"W-what are you doing here?" Katsuki stuttered

"He's having lunch with us. Who are you?" the purple-haired guy interjected

"I-" I started

"That's Kacchan. I told you about him, remember?" Izuku beamed, "Also you need to calm down Hitoshi."

"This is Kacchan? Your childhood friend?" the girl with pink hair and glasses shrieked.

"Yeah... calm down, Mei." Izuku muttered

"Hey... Izu... can I talk to you in private?" I cautiously asked

"Sure!" he smiled. He stood from the table and walked to the outside of the cafe to join me.

"What happened? I thought you were kidnapped! Your mother is worried sick about you." Katsuki found himself questioning his oldest friend.

"...I didn't get kidnapped. You know about my dad... what do you think I did. I ran away." Izuku muttered as he looked to the ground

"The day that Hisashi was killed right?" Katsuki asked. Izuku flinched.

"That! That was a coincidence! Kinda..." Izuku struggled to get out.

"What happened?"

"Hisashi dragged me out for a run early in the morning and during that run, I thought I'd take my chance. I ran from him... I climbed over places or items that he couldn't but he somehow managed to keep up. We ended up in a tough area of the city when he finally caught me. When some muggers showed up Hisashi turned his attention to them and I ran. I had no idea what happened to him until I saw the news." Izuku explained.

"Shit, Izu," they stayed silent before the realisation hit Katsuki, I hugged him, "I missed you, you little shit," Katsuki muttered. Izuku shuttered a little before hugging Katsuki back. They stayed like that before the guy with purple hair, Hitoshi, stuck his head out of the cafe.

"Hey, Izuku. We have an issue." Hitoshi informed Izuku

"What's wrong?" Izuku asked as he pulled from Katsuki's embrace

"Something happened to one of our delivery workers. We need to get back now."

"Ok, I'll join you guys in a sec," Izuku called after Hitoshi as the others started to walk off. Izuku turned back to Katsuki "Sorry, I really need to go, but we should definitely meet up."

"Sure. I'll call you. You better pick up next time." Katsuki smiled. Izuku laughed a little then ran off to join the others.

Katsuki found a job then headed back to the apartment. "Hey, dude! Something happen?" Kirishima asked.

"What the fuck do you mean?" Katsuki shouted

"You seemed happier. Just a little," Kaminari smiled at him, "meet a cute girl?"

"No! What the fuck!" Katsuki yelled

"Then what happened dude?" Kirishima smiled.

"I saw Izuku. I talked to him." Katsuki confessed.

"What! I thought he was kidnapped?!" both Kirishima and Kaminari yelled in disbelief

"I know right. Turns out he just ran away." Katsuki breathed

"So... why didn't he go back?" Kaminari muttered

"What do you mean?" Katsuki frowned

"He ran away the same day his dad died right?" Katsuki nodded, "and the reason he ran away was his dad... so why didn't he go back home to his mum after?"

Katsuki stared at Kaminari for a moment.

"Since when did you get philosophical?" Katsuki jabbed at the bright blonde. All that Kaminari said nagged at Katsuki a little. He thought back to when he say Izuku. They way Izuku shuttered a little, how he fidgetted, how he seemed to try to make himself small... 'was Izuku telling the truth?'

Izuku POV

I burst into the infirmary and run to the occupied bed. On the bed sat my friend. Tsuyu looked at me sheepishly. "What happened?" I asked her

"I was walking and some guys jumped me." Tsuyu confessed as Recovery Girl continued to care for her injuries.

"Was it some of his guys?" I push.

"Couldn't tell but probably. They took the package." Tsuyu said as she looked to her arm, where Recovery Girl was placing a disinfectant.

"Shit." I mutter.

"I'm sorry Izuku! I should have been more careful! I know that the package was really important. I am so sorry!" Tsuyu started spewing.

"No, it's ok. I should have thought that they would try something like this. Just focus on recovering." I soothed. 'I'm going to have to tell Shoto... maybe we should change the delivery route.'

I left the infirmary and headed to the Shoto's office. 'This is going to be a long day...'
