Before I knew it, December 20th was here and I was getting ready for my wedding day!

I slid on my dress and my mom zipped it up and Trisha put the veil on. Maren helped me with my boots and I stood in front of the giant wall mirror in the room the bridal party got ready in. The wedding was in Nashville at the home of William Lee Golden (Of the Oak Ridge Boys). The backyard had a beautiful tree that we had a white arch with red roses put in front of it. The pastor stood underneath it and Chris and I will end up in front of it. Either side of the aisle had white chairs and a white long carpet down the middle that we'll walk down.

Once everyone was ready, we headed to the back door where we'd all walk out. As I walked down the stairs, I heard my dad whistle and I smiled. I walked up to him and he was smiling wider than I've ever seen him smile. He hugged me and kissed my cheek and I kissed his. "You look beautiful, baby", he said. I smiled and thanked him and my mom handed me the bouquet of sunflowers and roses and we walked outside.

When we got on the back porch, the music began to play and we walked over to the end of the aisle. When we got to the end of the aisle, I looked down the aisle at Chris and the nerves went away and was replaced with a feeling of comfort, love, safety, and assurance. He smiled widely and wiped at his face and I smiled at him. My dad and I made our way to the front of the aisle and he kissed my right cheek and handed my right hand to Chris and he held my right hand in his left. He bent down and kissed my cheek and whispered "You look so damn beautiful, Laur". I smiled up at him.

When the time came for the rings, I handed my bouquet to Maren and turned to face Chris and we held hands. His best man handed him the wedding bands and he handed his to me and held mine. As I repeated everything the pastor said, I slid Chris' black wedding band onto his left ring finger and he did the same. "You may kiss the bride", the pastor said. Chris put one hand on my lower back and the other on my waist and dipped me down and kissed me. When I stood back upright, I grabbed my bouquet and turned. Chris held my left hand in his right and we smiled as the pastor said "I now present to you, Mr. and Mrs. Christopher Young". He kissed me one last time and we walked down the aisle and back into the house.

After we took photos with our wedding party and parents, we headed to the barn. Once we heard "Introducing for the first time, Mr. and Mrs. Chris Young!" and walked inside and went straight to our table for dinner.

After we ate, Chris and I headed for the dance floor for our first dance. I smiled up at him as I wrapped my left arm around his neck and put my right hand in his left and From This Moment began to play.

After our first dance, my dad and I danced to I Loved Her First and Chris danced with his mom.

After that, Chris and I cut our cake. I walked over to the cake table with him and we slid the knife down one end and then the other. We did the whole cake in the face thing that every couple does.
