The next morning, I woke up to the smell of pancakes, eggs, and bacon. I rolled over and looked at my phone and saw today was Saturday. "Thank God", I thought. I got up and threw my hair into a loose ponytail and put on my pink silk robe and headed downstairs and take a seat at the kitchen island and watch Trisha as she cooks. "So, tell me about this date", she said. "It  was amazing. We went to the Bluebird Café for dinner. He's a great guy, Trish", I said. Just then, my dad walked in and grabbed a piece of bacon from the plate beside the stove and Trisha smacked his hand.

He took his place beside me and smiled as he bit into his bacon. "So, how was your date?", he asked. "Good", I said. "So, when do we get to meet this guy?" "Soon. I just want to know it's gonna turn into something", I said.

After we ate breakfast, my dad told me to get dressed, so I went upstairs and washed my hair and threw on a pair of ripped dark denim skinny jeans, a pair of black converse, and a black loose fitting T-Shirt and didn't put on makeup.

When I got downstairs, we got into the truck and he started to drive. Around 45 minutes later, we pulled up outside of a car dealership and I looked at him confused. "What are we doing here?", I asked. "Getting you a new car", he said. I smiled widely and wrapped my arms around his neck.

After what felt like hours, I finally found the one. A jet black 2009 Dodge Charger. Complete with a CD player and an auxiliary outlet for my aux cord so I could play music from my phone.

After we picked out the car, we finalized the purchase and headed home. As I headed for the highway, my phone started to ring. I glanced at it and saw that it was Chris. I smiled and answered. "Hey! What's up?", I asked. "Just calling a pretty girl to see if she'd maybe wanna go out and grab a cup of coffee with me", he said. "I'd love to. Meet you there?".

After we hung up, I called my dad and told him I was going out for coffee. As I pulled into the coffee shop parking lot, I smiled when I saw Chris' truck. I quickly headed inside and saw him sitting at a table and walked over to him. He handed me my cup of coffee and kissed my cheek and we sat down to talk about work and anything else we could think of.

After coffee, I headed home and got things ready for work on Monday.

The next day, Chris and I went out to brunch. Since our first date, we've spent almost every minute together. We haven't known each other very long, but he was becoming my best friend. My person.

The next morning, I got up and put on a long black casual skirt with a slit up to the middle of my thigh and a white George Strait T-Shirt tucked in with a pair of black knee high zip up boots. I wet my hair and scrunched it with my Pantene Curl Perfection mouse and did my usual natural eye makeup and grabbed my purse and headed to work.

Once I was there, I fired up my computer and opened my email. Nothing. I decided to work on paperwork. After what felt like hours, I finally finished and looked at the clock. Only 11 AM.

I grabbed my guitar and notebook and sat down on the couch in my office and started playing the chords. I had finished the chorus when there was a knock on the door and our receptionist was standing in the doorway with a bouquet of 2 dozen red roses. "What's up?", I asked. "These were just delivered for you, Ms.Brooks". She put the flowers down on my desk and I walked over to them and picked up the card attached. It read: 'Lauren, I hope these make your Monday seems a little less... Mondayish. See you at lunch. Xoxo -Chris'.

I smiled widely and put the card down and went back to work.

After a long day, I ended up with writer's block and decided to go home around 5 PM. I stayed late most nights since I started, but this song had me stumped.
