The Battle of Immortality

Released Chapter 3

Caroline gasped awake, everything a little hazy to her. She looked around and noticed many things but knew one thing. She was starving. She vamped to the vampire that was dealing with a witch and bit into his neck, she drank until he was desiccated since she took his blood. Then everything came all at once, her capture, Kol in New Orleans, performing the lock, and now being free from her slumber. She looked back at her family, then heard with her hearing that there was a fight between two wolves and one unconscious witch, a Bennett to be precise. She ran to the two wolves and knew the white female was one of hers but the other was an enemy, she snapped its neck and threw him on the ground. The white female wolf took one look at her and bowed her head obvious that her Queen was present and showed her respect. Caroline communicated with the wolf on how to change back to human form since it was obvious she shifted at will because there was no full moon and a new wolf, Caroline watched her niece transform back. She smiled at the naked girl in front of her and handed her a cloak she had on when she was captured, the girl took it and smiled thankful. 

"You must be one of my beautiful nieces...Daire Katerina Forbes Santos. You are a werewolf witch? Not what I expected but you and your other siblings are very special kids, come we must return. I assume that the one named Victoria Elizabeth Forbes is the one responsible for your seal and my return?" Caroline asked with a british accent

"Yes, how did you know?" Daire asked curiously

"Being desiccated just sent me to the other side, I watched you and your ancestors grow and thrive. I am beyond livid, how dare those people trigger your wolf gene along with your brother on your birthday. I do know that your first turning was supposed to be painful since you killed a person, your witch side didn't help with the pain since it thought that one painful moon turning was enough punishment. You see, the rest of your turnings was to be painless but your sister thought it would be like that every time so that seal wasn't necessary" Caroline explained walking back to the others who were waiting for them, Klaus and the others appeared not to long ago after Caroline snapped the wolf's neck

"Daire" yelled her siblings looking relieved she shifted back and appeared to be fine

"Kol Mikaelson, and Katerina Petrova" Caroline said looking relieved to see them, she then vamped to Katherine and compelled her "remember" Katherine looked dazed then looked at Caroline with so much relief and kindness then SLAP. She slapped Caroline crying, 

"You compelled me to forget my savior, my mother figure, my family. Why?!" Katherine sobbed

"Because I know you Katerina Petrova, you would have put yourself in danger if it meant that I was safe" Caroline said resting her forehead on hers and let a few tears flow down her cheek

"I would have helped. EVERYDAY I felt this hole in my chest and I subconsciously held onto the Petrova locket you gave me that was from my ancestor. I wasn't alright, everyday I checked upon the Forbes resident here in Mystic Falls. I took one look at these children and I instantly fell in love with them. You let a Mikaelson remember but not your Petrova niece?" Katherine screeched 

"Unlike you he isn't killable. I love you too much to risk losing you, why do you think I made you forget? I was trying to protect you even on the other side I watched as what time did to you, tell me are you so sure that if I let you remember that you wouldn't go up to that Hybrid and ask for his help?" Caroline explained and for once Katherine was speechless

"Promise me that you won't make me forget. Promise me" Katherine said seriously

"I promise. Now onto you Kol Mikaelson, my brother, my friend" Caroline breathed out eyes watering hugging Kol tightly

"Darling...I have 2 surprises for you. Number one, a fully marked hunter. Number 2 your 21st century line" Kol said hugging her back

"I do believe that I owe you Victoria Elizabeth Forbes and the others a thank you. Elena Petrova, I am sorry to say that there is only BUT ONE cure. It is meant for my father, I am truly honest when I say that I wish there was someway for you to return human but...as you can see there isn't"
