Ellie is busy packing her clothes, she received a phone call from Mhel a while ago concerning one of their clients, and her mind drifted to their conversation.
"Hello." She answered when she saw the caller.
"Hey Ellie, I know you are on vacation, but we need you here right now! The wedding of Mr. Richards' daughter had been rescheduled, and it is earlier than the supposed date." Mhel proceeded in explaining without too much greetings.
"They rescheduled?" She cannot helped but ask and added. "I thought they are already sure of the date with how many things they had to consider."
This client of them - the bride, had been so specific and detailed with everything. Well it is acceptable to be that detailed and specific because it's her wedding, but she wants that the flowers in the venue - a garden, should be in full bloom during the ceremony. As per the gardener taking care of the place, the flowers will start to bloom a month from now. So a sudden rescheduling and earlier at that, caused her to question everything.
"Yes they did." Mhel answered.
"Why?" she asked frowning.
"Because they just found out that the bride is already carrying and she doesn't want to walk down the aisle with a baby bump." Mhel answered and she can only imagine her rolling her eyes because of the sudden changes.
Yeah, if she is already showing by that time, she needs to adjust the bride's gown, for she wanted it to be fit that must showcase the curves of her body, the bride's very own words.
She took a deep breath before speaking.
"Okay Mhel, I am coming. I'll just pack my things. See you later."
"Okay, I'll wait in your shop. Have a safe trip"
"Thanks."
So here she is, diligently packing. Good thing though that she only brought little, so her clothes and personal stuffs fit into her small luggage. After finishing, she went down and put her bag by the door.
"Ellie, where are you going? Why do you have your luggage bag?" Alessa's voice startled her that she almost jump. She slowly turned towards the elder woman and smiled, though the other did not return it. Alessa is staring intently at her things, as if it is going to attack her anytime.
Before she could answer her first question, she added another one.
"Are you bringing the kids with you?" Alessa asked in almost a whisper.
She shook her head and immediately cleared everything up before it escalates quickly.
"No, I am not leaving - well, technically yes. A problem came up that I must face, so I need to go back. But I am not bringing the kids. Can I leave them here for a while? If it's okay." She said in a rapid manner that made Alessa speechless.
"You're not leaving my son, are you?"
She was taken aback at Alessa's question. How will she answer it? Well, they already slept together, many times in fact during the last days or nights, but they are not back together to merit her 'leaving him', right? She shook her head mentally to clear away those questions.
"Well Alessa, it is work-related and my friends needed me there. I haven't finished the gown that my client ordered and the wedding is in two days, so we're in a fix. I badly needed to go back. Can I leave the kids here?" Her long explanation.
"Oh, is that so?" Alessa's face immediately brighten. "Of course you can leave the kids here." she added clapping.
Speaking of kids, the twins came barrelling from outside.
