RED LILIES⭑
CHAPTER SIX ━━ FRUIT OF THE POISONED TREE!
»1.06«

Lily quietly hummed to herself as she walked down the stairs. She pushed the door into the living room open to walk through it but she stopped instantly as she saw the dead body of a woman on the coffee table. Blood ran down her neck. She bled out of two punctual wounds that looked like bite marks.

On each side of the dead girl sat Klaus and Elijah. The two brothers read books as they listened to some piece of classic music. Elijah reads a book that looks a lot like an ancient handwritten diary or book.

The whole situation looked like one of these paintings that people over-interpreted but the painter's only intention was to draw a bunch of weird things that made no sense combined.

The brothers looked up from there books almost in sync. They looked at Lily who was still focused on the dead body on the living room table.

"There is a corpse on the table", Lily stated. "We know", responded Klaus in a tone confused why she said that. She sighed.

"Why is there a corpse?", she asked slightly unsure if she wanted to know the answer. As Elijah was about to answer Rebekah entered and complained about the bloodstains the girl caused on the carpet. Lily sighed again. "Could you please just try and not let corpses lay around in the house I can't leave?"

She left because she had the feeling that the three originals where about to end up in a heated argument like they almost always did when they were together.

She entered the kitchen and saw Lucy who was making pancakes. Next to her stood Blaise who was eating. Lucy turned to Lily and offered her some pancakes. Lily shook her head and walked towards the fruit bowl and grabbed an apple.

"Really you wanna miss out on my incredible cooking?", asked Lucy teasingly. Lily chuckled. She took a bite of the red apple she held in her hand.

"So you guys seem very calm about the fact that there's a dead body in the living room.", said Lily. "Well, we've been living here long enough.", replied Blaise. "You get used to it. Don't get me wrong death sucks and I really don't like seeing corpses but you know what I mean."

"Well, hopefully, we'll get out of this town and the crazy drama surrounding it soon," Lucy said before she focused again on frying the pancakes.

Rebekah entered the room before they could continue their conversation. She dragged the corpse of the girl from the living room along. Elijah followed behind her.

"I am all for it. So the only remaining question is who do we have to kill?", said Rebekah.

Elijah replied after considering Rebekah's statement: "Probably no one."

"Really?", Lucy asked disbelievingly. "That sounds nothing like the way you guys handle things."

"And how do you think we handle stuff?", asked Rebekah curiously. "Well, I think you rip out hearts, threaten people and at some point, you just raise your arms dramatically."

"Well that's pretty accurate.", said Elijah amused.

The witch trio continued having breakfast and Rebekah and Elijah went back into the living room.

When the witches had finished eating they reentered the living room to find out what the plan was.

Rebekah scrubbed at the bloodstains in the carpet while Klaus was still reading the same book as earlier. Elijah stood next to his brother. He also read the same old book as earlier.
