A white dress. I bought a white skin right dress with lace patterns. Black heels to go with it too.

I hung up the dress in the back of my closet and placed the shoes underneath them. If I could chose one day of the year to skip, I would choose August 31st. The fact that I don't even get a say in who I want to marry just shows how much society is crumbling. The government automatically penalizes anyone who tries to stray away from the law of The Match.

I sit down slowly on my bed and fiddle with my fingers. All I want is to be with someone who cares for me. Someone who actually loves me and doesn't just love me due to default pairing.

I felt my phone buzz in my pocket.

Harry.

Why is he calling me now its almost 10pm...

I clicked answer and brought the phone to my ear.

"Harry?"

"Hey lovie."

My heart fluttered as I fell back ok my bed

"Heyyy. Whats up?"

"Oh not much. I just wanted to let you know that I'll be over in 10 so put on something cute."

My heart beat even faster.

"What in the hell-"

"Just trust me."

I smiled and hung up. I filed through my closet and grabbed my favorite maroon sweater. I threw on some leggings and combat boots and quickly applied some mascara. Before I could even get to my foundation, I heard rocks being thrown at my window. I smiled and put down my mascara.

When I walked over to the window, Harry stood outside with a handful of pebbles in his hand. I opened the window as he flashed a smile.

"Meet me at the front door, dork." I laughed and shut my window.

I jogged downstairs and quickly checked my hair in the mirror by the front door.

I heard Harry's deep voice for outside the door.

"Knock knock!"

I smiled and opened the door. His eyes scanned up and down my body as my face flushed red.

"Gorgeous as usual." He smiled and stuck his hand out for me to grab it. I took his hand in mine as he pulled me out the house. I shut the door behind me as we walked out to his car.

"Mind to tell me where we're going?" I asked, batting my eyes.

"Noooo it's a surprise!" Harry laughed and kissed my nose.

Our first real date...

He opened the car door for me and then quickly jogged over to the drivers side.

I wonder what he has planned....

We pulled up to a little park not far from my house. It was almost 10:30 now; the only light coming from flickering street lights and the moon.

We got out of the car and he grabbed a blanket from the trunk.

"A picnic?" I asked.

"Well not really...kinda just staring at the stars." He said nervously.

He laid out the blanket and motioned for me to sit next to him.

Eventually we lay on our backs laughing at each other's stories and corny jokes as the stars took over the night sky.

"Harry this is gorgeous."

"It's not healthy to talk about yourself all the time Olivia."

I smiled and turned towards him. He took his arm and pulled me in closer to him. I lay quietly near his chest, almost drifting off to the sound of his heartbeat.

There was a faint sound coming from behind us.

Sprinklers.

"Shit shit shit." I heard Harry whisper. He picked me up along with the blanket and tried to get out of the grass before-

Too late.

We both screamed and laughed as the sprinklers covered us in freezing water.

We finally gave up trying to run away and stared running in the muddy grass as we got free showers.

"Olivia!" Harry screamed. His voice was faint over the sound of the sprinklers.

I walked over to him through the sprinkler rain.

"Olivia. Will you....uh will you be my.... Uh-"

"YES YES YES. I thought you would never ask!"

"Girlfriend." He smiled from ear to ear.

He pulled my closer to him by my hips and crashed his lips onto mine as we were covered by sprinkler rain and the faint light of the moon above us.
