Chapter 1:New Student

Today,the wind is a little cool and the weather is cheerless. For the students from Hitoyoshi High School ,today is unfortunate day as there is suprise tests.

"Only 1 min left"

The bell rang ,the teacher collected answer sheets,and left the class. Students were murmuring about the test and only Natsume Tadashi stayed quiet and watched the sky through window.

Suddenly, the door was opened and their homeroom teacher came in with a girl.

" Hello, Class. She is Shiroko and She transferred from Kyoto. She will be studying with you from now on. Be nice to her Ok?"

"Yes, Sensei" the class replied cheerfully.

"Shiroko san,please introduce yourself"

"Good afternoon, everyone. I am Izanami Shiroko. Nice to meet you all. Please be kind to me"

Shiroko has pale complexion,blue-violet eyes and black long hair.She tied her hair with rosette ribbon . Natsume looked at her and he felt something weird sensation.Shiroko sits before Natsume and said," Hello.I am shiroko. You can call me shiro.Nice to meet you"

" I am Natsume Takashi. Nice to meet you too."

After the school, Natsume came back home.As it is winter,the sun goes down very fast and it become dark . On the way home, he heard a girl's voice.

" Meow,Meow you are soo fat!!! and so cute!!"

He saw Shiroko feeding a cat. Wait..What!!??? That Cat is Nyanko Sensei.!!! Natsume run to them and Shiroko looks up him .

"Ah!! Natsume kun. That Fatty Cat is yours? "She said feeding nanatsuji buns .

Petting and hugging Nyanko sensei , there was a beautiful smile on Shiroko's face.The power of Nanatsuji buns is so amazing that even Nyanko sensei doesn't deny Shiroko's behaviours.In fact,he looked happy.

"Yes.. He is Nyanko Sensei."

"Ah!!!What a lovely name for Fatty Cat"

Nyanko sensei started struggling and Shiroko hugged more and more tightly.

"Let him go, Shiroko"

Shiroko murmured and releases Nyanko Sensei.But her face told that she still wanted to squeeze him.

"Sorry about that..I really Love fatty cat and I can't stand anymore whenever I see one"

And then,she said "Goodbye" and walked to another street. Nyanko sensei still eats nanatsuji bun .

"That girl is so mean" Nyanko sensei said with his usual tone.

"But you still agree with her hug. "

"Nyan~~Are you jealous?" Nyanko sensei said and he jumped onto Natsume 's head.
"
"Let's go home.!!!"

Shiroko is very sweet and cheerful girl so that she become close with the whole classroom. Even Nyanko Sensei shows favour to her as she is so kind with nanatsuji buns and some snacks. Natsume thought that Shiroko comes from a rich household as she never seen to have concerned with her pocket money.

Today as there is some work after class,Natsume leaves the school late. The weather becomes cold and there is only a little daylight. Natsume doesn't like this condition as he is aware of being attacked by yokai.

Before he reach to his home, Natsume see a tall figure. He wears a black suit and has a very strange eyepatch on his right eye.

"Matoba Seiji!"Natsume said with shaking voice.

"Sorry to distrube . But I have something to ask you.You must come to my mansion tomorrow"

Nyanko Sensei watched from the tree and he is ready to attack Matoba Seiji. But he saw girly figure coming from other side of the road so he stayed still.

"If I deny??"

"Well then I will let know Fujiwara couple about you"

"You!"

At that time, Shiroko saw Natsume talks angrily to a young boy and she thought Natsume was been bullied. So,she decided to step on.

"Wait a minute!!!Natsume kun What is happening here" she said and looked Seiji with her firely blue-violet eyes.

" If you want to bully , you should find someone who is as equal as you."

Shiroko's voice is shaking with anger.She hates bullying.Although she does not look like this,she is an over protective girl.

"Like you??"

As Mabota said,Shiroko's eyes were widen.Actually, Shiroko has international body structure so that she is a little taller than Natsume.

Natsume is worried about Shiroko as Seiji is short-tempered and his yokai are really strong so he can hurt her.

Matoba looked at the girl in front of him. She is brave,no exactly she is very stupid.

" Well...see you tomorrow Natsume .If you don't come, you know what will happen,right??"

Seiji walked into the dark and disappeared from their sight.

"Why did you do such a stupid thing? He is Mabota Seji.He ...he is.. "

Natsume stopped himself. But,he saw a warm smile on Shiroko's face.

"I know.I know everything about you. I know who are you . I know what ability you have .also about your nyanko sensei too.He is really talkative ,right?"

Natsume and Nyanko sensei were in a daze.Shiroko smiled and said .." You guys are my friend.Don't worry.I will protect you."

Without having reasons Natsume suddenly feels happy and safe.

" I'll come with you tomorrow."

"Wait!!! What!!"

Before he could deny, Shiroko ran away.

" Nyan~ Natsume...She reminds me of someone I know. Can you feel some spiritual power from her?"

Nyanko sensei jumps down to his head .

" No..She is too normal.But How did she?"

At that night,snow were falling vrry heavily and the coldness could easily kill someone.Shiroko took futon from her closet and she saw a strange little box .
She smiled and took out that box.

" Hello ..my little friend"

She whispered and turn the light off.
