RORY: You had every right to be upset, but I was also upset. That was my second ruined graduation.
LOGAN: Wait, second ruined graduation?
RORY: Yes.
LOGAN: Who ruined the first?
RORY: Jess.
LOGAN: Jess?
RORY: You remember him.
LOGAN: I didn't want to stay.
RORY: You had every right.
LOGAN: So you're not mad at me?
RORY: I could never be mad at you.
There is a knock at the door.
CHLOE: Logan? Rory?
RORY: I'll be right out.
LOGAN: How long will you be in town?
RORY: Just a couple more days.
LOGAN: Well you should come see my place.
Landon opens the door
LANDON: There you are, darling.
RORY: Here I am.
LOGAN: Rory?
RORY: Sure, I guess. E-mail me.
LANDON: Woah, e-mail. You sure you two aren't going too fast? (sarcastic)
RORY: Walk me to my room now?
LANDON: Gladly.
Landon and Rory walk out of the room, leaving Chloe with Logan. Camera stays on Landon and Rory and follows them as they exit the building.
LANDON: So, what was all that?
RORY: All what?
LANDON: Don't play coy with me Gilmore. You and Huntzberger have a history?
RORY: We do.
LANDON: ... Was it serious?
RORY: Does it matter?
LANDON: Yes, it does.
RORY: Why.
LANDON: Rory, if you're still into him, then he's probably not over you. I mean look at you... Who could get over someone like you?
RORY: You act like you know me.
LANDON: I have a gift.
RORY: You don't know me.
LANDON: Maybe not everything about you, maybe not about your family. Maybe not about your hometown, or how you grew up. But in general, I know you very well.
RORY: Generally, you annoy me.
LANDON: I understand that.
Rory and Landon walk up to the Marriott.
LANDON: Alright, should I pretend I'm not staying here as well, or shall I walk you to your floor?
RORY: (smiling) Sure, I don't see why not.
Later that day...
Rory's phone rings
RORY: Hello?
LORELAI: I'm gonna do it, Rory.
RORY: (sounding exasperated) What?
LORELAI: We have been waiting for this moment all your life.
RORY: (mockingly) Really? My entire life?
LORELAI: Yes! This is it, this is my shining moment!
RORY: Well, don't keep me in suspense!
LORELAI: I'm going to find out how many licks it takes to get to the center of a Toostie Pop.
RORY: (crestfallen) No!
LORELAI: Why not?
RORY: Mom, where did you get this insane idea?
LORELAI: I might have found a half-eaten Tootsie Pop behind my bed.
RORY: Ew, mom! Gross.
LORELAI: (Cheerfully) It was the cherry kind.
RORY: Well, I hope you stick to it this time because, if not, "the world may never know."
LORELAI: (laughs and claps) That's my girl.
RORY: I gotta go, mom. Talk to you later?
LORELAI: Alright baby girl, have fun.
RORY: Love you, bye (hangs up)
(There is a knock at Rory's hotel room door)
RORY: Just a second! (Checks her hair in the mirror, then opens the door)
Jess Mariano is standing in the doorway.
<and I could totally leave it at that! but you guys have been incredibly patient with me so>
RORY: Jess.
JESS: hey. (Smiling)
RORY: Well. Come on in, stranger (trying to hide the shakiness in her voice)
Jess walks in the room, in the way only Jess Mariano could enter a room.
RORY: What has it been, 3 years?
JESS: and some.
RORY: should I get used to these sporadic visits ?
JESS: (with a twinkle in his eye) How can you get used to occasional visits?
Rory's stumped in silence.
RORY: How's Philadelphia?
JESS: It's good. Cream cheese. Theaters. Wineries.
RORY: Tasting a lot of wine?
JESS: Only on special premises.
Rory's phone buzzes with a text from Logan.
Logan: Dinner at my place, 6? We can talk more then.
Rory frowns at her phone.
JESS: What is it?
Rory looks up at Jess
RORY: Ah, nothing (trying to evade the question); it's. Logan.
JESS: That guy? You're *still* with him?
RORY: No, no we broke up a while ago.
JESS: Then why is he texting you?
RORY: We ran into each other at an event.
JESS: and I'm sure it was just a coincidence ?
RORY: it was!
Jess just looks at her.
RORY: at least I think it was...
