Chapter notes/warnings: author not knowing how medical stuff works

Clint reached the kid first, gently shaking him before turning to Tony, "He's out cold. Do you think..."

"He's a demigod," Tony confirmed, "A, he was fighting those shadow things with a goddamn sword and B, look at the said sword." He gestured to the weapon, "It looks like Stygian Iron. It's pretty well made too, although it looks like it's seen some shit. The kid clearly doesn't take care of it well enough, he- Clint, what the hell are you doing," Tony asked as Clint had stood up, the boy in his arms.

"Grab his sword, I'm taking him with us. He seems to be...fading? Looks like he overextended himself when fighting, he probably has some weird powers and used too much energy. And no," Clint quickly said when he saw Tony open his mouth, "we can't just take him back to camp, you're permanently banned and I still got a while before I can go back." He rolled his eyes, "We probably couldn't even find the place." He started to carry the kid back to the car as Tony grabbed the sword and ran after him."But everyone else is going to ask too many questions. Questions I don't want to have to answer." Clint ignored him, so he continued, "And furthermore, you have no clue how to help this kid. Or if his friends will come looking for him. It's too risky.""And if we leave him," Clint shot back, "he might fade away. Which, for all we know could mean death. Or those things could come back. I'm not risking it. If all else fails, I'll ask Apollo for help. He should be able to fix it if I can't." Clint got in the car, not taking no for an answer.

Getting the kid to the med bay was weirdly easy. Anyone who would ask questions was apparently busy, and the few interns they saw looked to freaked out to comment. Tony tried to ask Clint what was going on but to no answer."You know, if you don't know it's ok," Tony mumbled under his breath. He chuckled when Clint glared, "Come on, this is something you've never seen, it's ok if you don't know something."

"I know he used way too much energy, but by doing what I don't know. It'd be easier if I knew his Godly parent, which I don't, which makes this extremely frustrating," Clint said with a huff.

"Well, looking at his sword and his general appearance, I'd make a guess that it's probably one of the underworld gods, which would also explain the type of creatures that he was fighting."

Clint looked suspiciously at Tony, "Are we sure you got claimed by the right God? That was almost intelligent." Tony flipped him off, so he turned back to the kid. "I should be able to stop it from spreading, then we might be able to use a bit of tech here to help him get his strength back."

"I thought you were aginst using "new aged tech," Tony teased, sitting down on one of the many chairs."I am. I think I can do just as good as half the shit in here if I was allowed. I'm literally using an I.V drip, heart rate monitor and breathing tube. Same shit we had at camp." He gently laid his hand on where the fading met skin and concentrated. There was a soft glow and the kid's arms looked a bit more solid. "There," Clint mumbled, "shouldn't spread any further." He started to get the equipment set up as Tony decided to make a comment.

"So now what?"

"Huh? What do you mean?" Clint didn't look up from his work."Well," Tony sighed, "I get why you did this, but now what? We just can't leave him here. And it might look weird if we just...disappear for a few days while we wait for him to recover. And if anyone else comes in and sees some kid..."Clint shrugged, "I guess we'll cross that bridge when we get there. But for now, I just need to keep an eye on him. Maybe you can give everyone some bs excuse I went home to visit my family for the weekend." He bit his lip, "He should recover pretty quickly, and when he wakes up I'll give him some nectar or something."

Tony nodded. "If you want to spend however long it takes here, be my guest. I'll be back in a bit with food or something. And," he rolled his eyes, "I'll try to keep the others out of here. Just, don't overexert yourself...you haven't done this in a while." He got up out of his chair, leaving Clint with the kid.

About three hours later Clint heard a small noise, and when he looked over, the kid was starting to wake up. "Wh-where am I?" He said as he tried to sit up, "Who are you? Where is Will?" The kid looked frantically around the room as Clint rested a gentle hand on his shoulder.

"Hey, take it easy kid. I'm Clint. My friend and I found you unconscious in the park. You were starting to fade, and we decided to bring you back here. Why don't you tell me your name?"

"They took him. They took Will, my b- my friend. They took my friend." The kid started to panic, looking up at Clink with fear in his eyes. "I need to get him back, I need to get back to Tartarus."
