"You want peace?" She asked turning her head slightly.

"Yes ma'am, that's why I'm here." He bowed his head low to the ground, his armor clinking as he shifted lower to the ground. Her crown shifted as she threw her head back laughing.

"I understand you have control over the black market?" She questioned.

"Yes ma'am" He replied. Kenna's wings uncurled to fill the room, his eyes shone with fear.

"Then do you know what you sell? Because I do, my people's wings are sold as trophies. Their wings are ripped from their bodies and then they're massacred." Her anger boiled, her voice was practically seething with venom.

"I, I didn't know that. I don't- I don't have control over- over my people's actions" His fear was even more prominent than ever.

"And here I thought you were a strong monarch. Guess not." She crossed her legs and looked down at him with an indifferent stare.

"Apologies, your majesty. I had no idea, there will be a ban at once." Her shrill laugh echoed across the throne room. The young monarch scrunched his eyebrows in confusion.

"You can't put a ban on the black market. They won't listen to you." Her fingernails tapped loudly on the throne's sides.

"I'll do whatever it takes." His bold determination shone. Most others would be blinded by his resolute. Sadly determination doesn't exactly convince everyone. She gave the young king a sweet smile. One that her subjects saw regularly. In other words fake.

"If the killing doesn't stop. You'll find a war on your hands." Her robes filed around her as she made her way to the king. Leaning over his shoulder she whispered in his ear.

"I'll kill you myself."
