They reached the house where the target was held up. "Buck your job is to grab the woman and detain her. Me and Nat will secure the Hydra target."

Bucky nodded. It was quiet where they landed. The agent choose to hide out in the countryside. Not a good idea.

A lot of places for her to hide. And no one would hear him scream.

Bucky moved toward the woods.

There's alot of coverage here. If she's here she'll be in tree line somewhere.

He followed to where he would get the best view of the house and waited. It wasn't long before he heard it. A steady pulse and a hint of peppermint.

"It would be easier if didn't resist Dr," Bucky said into the trees, not yet spotting you. Silence.

"Why don't you just make it easier for me and leave soldier?" You watch him from above.

Still as handsome, still as dangerous.

"I can't do that Dr

"I can't do that Dr.," He said scanning above. You laugh. "I haven't been a Dr. In a very long time Soldier. You don't remember my name do you?"

He continues to scan for you. Passing over you twice. "I'm sorry, I dont. But that was against the rules anyway." he confesses. "But I remember that you were always kind. Your hands use to shake before you would inject me. Always worried you'd hurt me. I know this isn't you."

"That's where you're wrong. This wasn't me, it's who I am now. Hydra made a monster, now they get a monster." You continue to examine his weapons from high.

Two guns, one knife, metal arm.

he sun was setting around you, making more shadows in the woods. Making it harder for him to spot you.

"We just want to talk. We're not going to hurt you. But I can't let you take him out. You know I can't. Please just come with us," Bucky pleaded.

You hesitated but not for long. He was the last person you'd thought you'd see. But you couldn't hesitate now. Not for everything you've been through. The wicked have to pay for what they did. Hydra has to pay.  And no matter how beautiful he was pleading before you, the Winter soldier was not going to stop you. You rose your gun to aim.

Sorry gorgeous.

You fired but he caught sight of you and blocked it with his metal arm, releasing a baton you didn't clock, with the other. The sting rings through your body as you fall down from the tree. Luckily, you landed, gun in hand, and push forward.

He blocks you again and rushed you back. In a quick manuver he knocked the gun out of you hand. You reached for your knife and flip toward your left hand, dragging it across his flesh arm , drawing blood.

He postured back away from you. You thrust forward, knife at the ready, but he dodged every other attempt. He finally got a hold of your right hand, twisting it, causing the knife to fall as he tried to pin you. You struck with your left fist, catching his chin and releasing your arm. Spinning around, face to face. He moved to strike, not seeing you pull the small gun from your hip. He paused.

"You're not who I'm after soldier

"You're not who I'm after soldier. Don't make this harder." You said still pointing the gun at him. His dark hair fell over his face. His breathing was heavy, making his chest appear massive.

He held up his hands. "You don't have to do this," Bucky said.

"You're wrong," you replied. "And your too late anyway." He looked puzzled. Just then Steve began talking in his ear. "She beat us Bucky, he's already dead."

Bucky looked up at you.

You remember how difficult it use to be to look him in the eyes. They really are the most beautiful blue. Haunted. You remember him shirtless and vulnerable sitting in that chair when you injected him. Poisoned him. He deserved better, but so did you.

"You're not going to shoot me," he challenged, dropping his hands, walking closer to you

"You're not going to shoot me," he challenged, dropping his hands, walking closer to you.

"You wouldn't be the first to underestimated me. Don't make me do this," you plead to him. He continued to close the space between you.

Sorry soldier.

You fired.
