< perspective: moomin >

Moomin took the piece of paper he found that day. Maybe it could make him let go of Snufkin, just a little bit.

But, why? Why out of all the people of Moominvalley, was his name written? What about everyone else?

His frustration only turned to sadness when he realized Snufkin was gone.

He laid on the bridge. The bridge where him and Snufkin did everything.

"Ugh? Why do changing seasons have to exist??" Moomintroll buried his face in his hands, close to tears.

He just wanted Snufkin back.

"Moomin! Moomin!"

His thoughts rushed, and, thinking it was My, he stood. "GO AWAY!" his voice shook with tears trickling down his snout.

It was Snorkmaiden. She had returned with her brother Snork from the islands.

"Oh Snorkmaiden," He wailed, "I'm sorry."

"Moomin," she spoke softly, walking over and gently placing her hand on his as they sat. "What's wrong?"

Actually, Moomin didn't quite know. All he knew was Snufkin wasn't by him. To sing his songs, to make him dinner or to fish with.

So he just cried. Together, Snorkmaiden and Moomin hugged as the remaining leaves fell off the trees, the last of the birds flew into the cold winter clouds.

Among all the noises, Moomin heard a specific one. A voice filled with terror and desperation. A voice he'd been longing to hear since forever.

Snufkin.
