Faith of a Necromancer(Sequel 1)

Chapter 6: The Combination

The next sunny day, Matturse woke up inside the ship he rented with Algenix. While he was standing up from his bed, he has hit the top of his head on a shelf. The sound woke his friend too.

"Why are you up so early? Can't we take a longer rest?" -Algenix asked.

"The longer we waste our time, the higher the chance gets not to make it back to the island on time. Besides, I feel enough energy to sail the boat again" -Matturse explained.

"So... are you okay if I lay down for a little more time?"

"Yeah, suit yourself mate. I'll get the ship going" -the necromancer replied and went to ready the sails.

Then, he got to the wheel of the boat and started the engine. The boat was moving slowly with the ocean waves spreading aside. Matturse was steering the ship very well, he always controlled the wind on the ship's direction. Suddenly, he had a feeling that he was not alone. Matt started looking around uneasily, without seeing anyone. From the cloudy sky, the two robot eagles sent by Michelle eyed Matturse.

"Target found! Target found! He must be destroyed!" -one of the robots said, firing a small cannon ball out of its mouth.

"This is not good..." -Matturse said while firing a necroball, turning the cannon ball into pieces.

"Algenix! ALGENIX!" -Matt yelled.

"I thought you would let me get my sleep!" -Algenix replied.

"Yeah. Sorry for ruining your nap time, but we got company!"

Algenix quickly stormed out of the ship, looking the two flying birds on the sky. The one who did not attack yet saw him and fired another cannon ball.

"Oh yeah? Take it back!" -Algenix spoke, swinging the cannnon ball with his sword back to the robotic eagle.

But the android bird was so fast that moved to the side, making him miss.

"This will be a hard battle! I can't hold them and the ship aswell!" -Matturse shouted.

"Do not worry! I gotcha covered!"

The birds began firing cannon balls on both of them, but Algenix was using his light spells, preventing them from hurting anyone.

"Changing strategy!" -one of the android birds said. Turning its mouth to the ship's main sail, it fired a cannon ball. But Algenix was quick enough to destroy it with his light beam. He kept blocking its attacks, until the other bird charged on the air towards him. Algenix had no time to react, he got tackled on the ground by the other android eagle. Matturse had no choice, he left the wheel on its own, rushing towards Algenix and chased the bird. With a quick reaction, the electric bird moved to the side, avoiding his attack.

"Matt, who is on the wheel?"

"Forget about it! These birds are way more threatening than I thought!" -he answered.

Then, Matturse helped his friend stand up, a light came out of their hands.

"Algenix... I can feel... your power inside me..."

"Me too! I feel your dark spells floating towards my body..."

"Keep it up!" -Matturse told him.

Algenix nodded and their hands started connecting... Their two bodies were becoming one. The transformation's result was a green skinned beast. It had horns and it made a furious look at the two robot eagles flying above him. Then, the birds started firing cannon balls but they were uneffective. The beast's body was so strong, that the cannon balls were not doing any harm. Instead, the cannon balls were dropping on the ground, after bouncing off the green beast. Suddenly, the beast took a fallen cannon ball from the ground. With a huge force, he launched it on one robotic bird's head, ripping it apart. At that moment, the green beast was slowly losing its skin color. They transformed back to the two humans they were, staring at the other robotic eagle. The bird started flying for its life and then, Matturse ran to a ship's cannon.
