Chapter 7: Fighting for a piece

  The ship that Matturse rented was fully loaded with all the competitors. They were heading towards the second part of the island with the greatest speed possible. Algenix was steering the wheel while Matt was chatting with the rest of the people.

"I see that all the traps you have set failed to stop them. But how did that happen?"

"Well, we have set them perfectly but... the part you have forgotten is that Michelle somehow had three drilling submarines under us. She dug a large amount of ground to collect the first crystal piece" -Greatsaw answered.

"Oh yeah, with so many things in my head, I forgot about that. Well then, nobody is to be blamed. She just planned something that you did not expect. It happens a lot and at this point, we must stay strong and together" -Matturse reassured them.

"By the way, who is this friend that you brought, Matt? I don't think I have met him before" -Miyuki asked.

"You are right, you didn't. Let's just say we know each other from our childhood days, then we became enemies for my stupid reasons. Right after we allied to kill a strong villain... our friendship came back"

  Matturse was looking at Algenix while he was speaking, giving him a smile.

"The name's Algenix and as for you, you must be Miyuki, he told me all the best about you"

Miyuki nodded, shaking gently his hand.

"I suppose we should get back to our plans now against the werewolves. Does anyone have any ideas?" -the elastic man, Candilar, asked.

"Sort of, let me tell you what happened during our way to the island. Basically, me and my friend, Algenix, had a calm night yesterday without issues. In the morning we woke up to keep sailing but we saw two electronic birds to the sky. They started shooting cannon balls and we had to defend ourselves and the ship. That's when I dropped from the wheel and helped Algenix to beat them. At that point, we realised that there was light coming through our hands. Then somehow... our bodies connected and we became one... it was something like a beast. Our combined skins created a new tough skin that made the cannon balls harmless to us. After that, it was an easy task to kill them"

"Let's give credit to how you sniped the second one while it tried to escape!" -Algenix added.

"Wait... so you are saying that, there is a secret combination of two supernatural people that will make our numbers less, but more powerful?" -Sharah wondered.

"Exactly, though we still need to search about the specific power combination and any other possible ways to beat the werewolf army. Can someone hold the wheel please?" -Matturse said.

  Algenix replaced Matturse's sailing spot while the necromancer went to check his books of magic. After a while of searching, he found one called "The Deepest Soul Connections". It was full of dust, seemed like he has never red it. He picked it up and walked towards the crowd. After finding himself a chair, he sat near a table inside the ship with many competitors gathering around him. He was turning the pages really fast until he found what he was looking for.

"At last, I found it. 'Two people who are born with magic inside them can conbine their bodies. Their combination will transform them to an orc'. " Matt read.

"To a what?" -the people around him asked.

"Guys, I'm just reading what it says, let me finish! 'With the double size of a human, an orc has a skin, which is tough as a rock. The foundation of the specific transformation was by a few Magic Ancestors even before the creation of the Magic Force Island'.
Guys, if we get more people, we can crush the werewolf army with this power!"
