Prologue

{No one's POV}

In the realm of hell aka Gehenna, lives a powerful demon king. He has many names: Hades, the Devil, the Destroyer, the Evil One, Demon, Akuma, the Lord of Death, Death, Reaper, Lucifer, and Satan.

He is father of eight children. (got info from: wikipedia and blueexorcist.com)

Mephisto Pheles is one of his sons. Mephisto is a son of Satan and one of the "Eight Demon Kings", originally known as Samael, the "King of Time". His ability of transforming into a small dog or conjure a giant cuckoo clock is just a sample behind his true powers that allows him to control space and time. Currently going by the name Johann Faust the Fifth in public, Mephisto was also known as "Loki", "Trickster" or "Raven" in the past. An Honorable Knight of the Knights of the True Cross, he leads Rin to the path of exorcism. In his official capacity, he also serves as the director of True Cross Academy. His tendency towards clown-like, gaudy clothing is striking.

Amaimon is the "King of the Earth" and another son of Satan. Among the Eight Demon Kings, he is the seventh in strength. Amaimon has vast control over the land, such as being able to create earthquakes. He is eccentric and hates being laughed at or ignored. Unlike his father and elder brother Mephisto Pheles, Amaimon initially had little interest in Rin, instead wishing to tour Japan upon arrival, but quickly became obsessed with his younger half-brother after fighting him. Amaimon mentions he has a cousin who has an interest in the occult and even goes on to say that she would be happy if he brought her a human eye. After Rin defeats Amaimon in the anime, he turns into a green hamster for the rest of the episodes, running in a hamster wheel located in Mephisto's office.

These two are the main brothers that Rin first meets, as a demon prince.

Oh, don't forget about Rin Okumura himself. Having to be like his father, and his flames.

Rin Okumura is the fifteen-year-old (who will turn 16 in this story) protagonist of the story. He is a son of Satan born from a human woman and is the inheritor of Satan's powers. His powers were sealed at birth into the demon-slaying blade Kurikara by Mephisto Pheles, the True Cross Academy principal, allowing him to live a normal human life for nearly 15 years with his twin brother Yukio and his foster father Shiro Fujimoto. Rin becomes aware of his true identity after Kurikara cannot longer seal his powers, setting off a chain of events that lead to the death of Shiro at the hands of Satan, who attempts to drag Rin back to the demon realm, Gehenna. Mephisto Pheles later confronts Rin who demands Mephisto to let him join the exorcists against the demons. Mephisto personally enrolls Rin into the True Cross Academy so that Rin can pursue his goal to become a Paladin and to defeat Satan. While currently an Exwire, Rin wishes to obtain the biggest rank of an Exorcist, Paladin, to prove Fujimoto did not want to use him as a weapon. Rin can access the power he has inherited from Satan through drawing Kurikara. The sheath acts as a portal to Gehenna, which, when the blade is drawn, returns Rin to his demon form. While in his human form, Rin exhibits a number of physical traits that are signs of his demonic nature that are intensified in the demon forms. In both forms, Rin can control incredibly destructive bright blue flames, the trademark sign of anything related to Satan. However, when he draws Kurikara, the magnitude of the flames dramatically increases and often leads to Rin being "consumed" by his own flames and losing his mind. Rin later meets a spirit named Kongo Ucchusma who teaches him how to control his flames. Rin also has a Cat Sith, Kuro, who was initially Shiro's, as his familiar.

~~~~~Back to Hell aka Gehenna~~~~~

Satan is looking through a mirror in his mansion in Gehenna (the demon world). The mirror shows him what is happening in Assiah (the human world). Right now he sees his son Rin (Yukio is not a demon in this story) going through school stuff at this place call school.

My son shouldn't be doing human work, he should be learning how to take over Gehenna one day, Satan thought to himself as he pace back and forth. Then he thought of an idea.

"I shall get him a servant, a butler, to do his work," he said, "and protect him, teach him the ways of a demon."

He walked towards the door and yelled out for his trusty servant Alexander.

"Yes my king," asked Alexander.

Satan looked at him with serious in his eyes, "Get me a demon. Not just any demon, a worthy demon who will serve without any mistakes."

"May I ask why my king?" asked Alexander.

"It is for my son Rin, for his birthday," said Satan.

Alexander eyes widen, "You don't mean the Demon Prince Rin Okumura?"

"Yes," said Satan, and turned around with anger in his eyes, "you've got a problem with that servant?"

Alexander looked frighten from the anger aura surrounding his King.

"No my King not at all," Alexander quickly said.

"Then go and find me a worthy demon for my son!" Satan yelled out.

As quick than Flash (from the Justice League :P) Alexander ran as fast as he can to find the perfect butler for his Demon Prince.

*****A few days later*****

Alexander came back dragging what looks like a demon butler. The demon butler straightened his jacket vest and bowed down to his king.

"My King," said the demon butler.

"Tell me your name," he commanded.

The demon smirked and said," Sebastian Michaelis. My King."

Satan looked at him closely. Nice suit, clean, and his aura is demonic that of a crow but not too demonic than me or my son Rin, he may be the one, Satan thought.

"Do you know why you're here?" asked Satan.

"I've heard rumors that you have been looking for a demon worthy for one of your sons. May I ask which son?" said Sebastian.

Satan chuckled,"I believe you are worthy for my son. His name is Okumura Rin, he will be your new master."

Sebastian eyes widened,"You don't mean the Demon Prince Rin who was born with your powers?"

"Yes," Satan said and looked at Sebastian with anger with his eyes the same way he did to Alexander, "got a problem?"

Sebastian's face went back to normal (ME: does he have a normal face?o.O),"No my King. I am grateful for this opportunity."

Satan grinned and said,"You should be. Now get ready to go to the human world (aka Assiah), you will protect and serve my son Rin with anything and everything he wants, got it Sebastian."

"Of course my King," said Sebastian, "I shall take my leave."

Before Sebastian can leave, Satan stopped him and said,"Before you depart I want to make something clear. If any harm comes to my son, you would wish that you were never turned into a demon and will burn in the hell with my flames."

Sebastian bowed low to his King, and left. Satan knew Sebastian was scared, he can smell it off of him. Now he knows he would do his job right.
