Our messed up feelings

Chapter 12

*Jessica's POV*
I came down after getting dressed and saw that he had made pancakes. Wow he can cook? I slowly made my way over to the table. I started eating and he passed me some maple syrup. I thanked him and continued to eat. They were delicious. Did he make these? Wow!! Just wow!! But even these delicious pancakes didn't take my mind off the awkward situation. What did he mean by 'our situation'?

"So umm what did you mean by our situation?" I asked

"Well, Umm you know... last night"

"Oh, what about it?"

"I meant what's gonna happen now?"

"Umm I don't know but like aren't one night stands like you do it and forget about it?"

"So what we had was a one night stand?"

"Umm yeah I guess"

"Oh then that makes it easier than I thought" he said
Wait, what did that mean? Was he afraid I had feelings for him and would want something more? Omg. But I really wanna do it again... how can someone stop after one night?

"What do you mean?" I asked for some reason. I guess I didn't wanna finish the topic and then never do it again. Why did I start the topic again? It's just gonna get awkward. It's not like we're gonna do it again.

"I mean, I know you like Jared and you aren't the type that sleeps around so I was nervous. I thought you liked me or something so I was confused" he said

"Ohhh. Wait how'd you know I like Jared?"

"I don't know. I just see the way you like at him and guessed it. I'm kinda good at figuring out how other people feel"

"So then you know how I feel about you?"

"You feel something for me?"

"Umm..." shit why did I have to say that?

"You do? What? What do you feel?"

"Nothing. It's nothing!!"

"We need to be honest for this to work. Otherwise we're just gonna be awkward"

"Well... I kinda ummm... I kinda have sexual feelings for you..."

"What?" He asked in disbelief
Shit. He's so creeped out!! I can see it in his face. This is why honesty sucks.

"Omg that helps!!"

"Wait what?" I said

"I have sexual feelings for you too!!"
Hold up, hold up. Say what?

"Ok so...?"

"Ummm did you Umm enjoy last night?" He said awkwardly

"Umm yeah..." I said blushing

"Would you want to do it again?"

"Umm yeah"

"Me too. So here's what I think. How about we do it. You know like no feelings, no strings attached. Plain sex. That's it."

"You mean like friends with benefits?"

"Yeah. I mean it makes sense. We both feel sexually attracted to each other. This way we get what we want, and probably, slowly our sexual feelings will go away and then we'll stop and live our lives."

"So basically I'll be dating you secretly?"

"No honey, it's different. You can go out, flirt, kiss and date anyone. We're just gonna have sex and continue being friends. Oh and if you don't wanna tell anyone that's your choice. We can keep it a secret."

I thought about it. It was perfect. I get what I want, he gets what he wants and it'll be fine. Nobody's friendship is ruined, my feelings might go away and then I could focus on Jared.

"Deal" I said

"Ok great!" He said

"But wait when are we gonna do it?"

"Whenever either of us feels like it we just text each other our name and then meet up at either you house or mine. Whichever is nearer."

"Ok great" I said

"Ok. This was less awkward and more easier than I thought" he said

"Same" I said. "But wait. If you don't have feelings for me why were you so gentle yesterday?"

"Wasn't it your first time? I thought it was so that's why"

"Oh. That's really nice of you" I said blushing "Btw did you make these?"  I said trying to change the topic.

"Yeah why? Are they not good?" He said worriedly

"No they're delicious!! It's the first time I've eaten anything you cooked"

"Oh thanks" he said, smiling.
And with that we started talking about random things.
