We live in a world where people have inexplicable powers. I have yet to discover the cause of them, I don't know much about them at all. All I know is if you don't control them, they'll control you. Some old famous guy said, "absolute power corrupts absolutely." I'm not sure this counts as "absolute power" but it does corrupt just as much.
I learned this the hard way 3 years ago when my telepathic classmate, Samuel Stone, used his powers to gain my trust and betray me, just to steal my telekinesis that I didn't even know about. That experience left me emotionally scarred and in mental and physical therapy for years. To this day everyone thinks I'm crazy, but I know I'm not. The floating coffee cup right in front of me proves that.
