ALEC POV's

"It's too easy". Jace repeated for the millionth time, staring at the computer, while everything Alec was focused on was a few more knives for stabbing Marcus.

"Jace I have the location of the point where they are, I don't care about anything else". Alec said he decided that a small but sharp knife would look good on the chest of that son of a bitch, so he put it in the boots he was wearing.

"Alec think about it, Marcus isn't stupid enough to leave such an important clue". Jace said, referring to the fact that Alec had found the location where Magnus was located too easily. It was enough to connect the phone where he received the call, and find the place where it was made.

Now Alec was hurrying to get out and get his boyfriend. By now it was the morning of the next day, it was six o'clock in the morning, and that evening no one had been able to sleep, all shaken by bad memories, and only now Jace had managed to speak for the first time with Alec since he had gone up to his room closing inward.

"Jace I can't spend any more time, Magnus is in danger, and I swear to you that if that son of a bitch have putted even just an hand on Magnus I..." Alec took a deep breath to calm himself, and turned to Jace who was looking more worried than he had ever done. That look did nothing but make Alec buy more awareness of what he was doing. He was spinning so easily in a well-crafted trap, and he knew it perfectly, but he couldn't lose Magnus, and if he did he didn't know what could happen next.

"God what am I doing." Alec said, sitting down on the bed, and passing his hands to his face, and he felt Jace approach him. He felt the bed writhing, a sign that Jace had just sat down next to him, and his eyes became wet, but he wouldn't have cried, he had gone through worse situations than this without shedding a tear, but the truth was that he hadn't yet fully understood the weight that this moment had for him.

"I haven't told him yet that I love him... I can't lose him." Alec said resting his elbows on his knees, still with his head in his hands. He felt Jace's hand rest on his shoulder, and he realized the stupidity he was about to do.

"Alec, I understand... no, I won't do like those people who say they understand what it feels like when it's not true." Jace said interrupting himself and making Alec look up at him, confused by what he was trying to say.

"I don't know at all what you're feeling, but I know what I'd feel if they ever kidnapped Clary. I don't understand how you feel to know that he is in danger, but I know how I would feel, and one thing I can certainly understand, that when you are in these situations your mind doesn't work properly". Jace said and Alec gave him a thankful smile, to not to take him as a fool to do so.

"That's why I'm there to make you think. Marcus wants to set a trap to catch you, and we'll try to get around it, because we're together, because we're a team, and because I know how much you care about Magnus." Jace said, and Alec rushed forward to embrace him, he needed to not feel alone, and he knew that Jace would never let him feel that way.

"You will have time to tell him how you feel." Jace said, and Alec was so grateful to have a best friend like him, but there was no need to tell him, Jace knew he was always grateful for those gestures he did to help him. In fact he saw Jace nodded at him, as a sign of having understood what his support meant at that moment.

"Do you have another plan?" Alec asked him, and saw the boy's eyes shine before getting out of bed, and pulling a hand out for Alec.

"As one person that we cared so much about said to us: don't be convinced that on your own you are stronger than with others". Jace said, and the same spark in his eyes lit up in those of Alec, who took his hand and squeezed it into Jace's hand, standing up.
