AS TIME GOES BY (CHAENNIE)

The Hottest Couple!

The next day, the school was in awe as the hottest couple in the university make their way. They walk hand in hand with wide smiles on their faces.

Chae showed everyone that the one beside her is hers and hers alone, much to Jennie's delight.

They've reached Jennie's classroom in no time, and Jisoo speaks with them on the spot.

"We are very honored to see the hottest couple in flesh."
Jennie just showed her gummy smile to everyone.

"I'll see you later, hubby," she said in a very soft manner.

"I'll see you soon, wifey," Chae said and pecked Jennie's lips and left, she was left flabbergasted.

Meanwhile, Chanyeol was waiting patiently for Chae's arrival.

"We need to talk." he deliberately said.

Chae was surprised to see him this early, but she wasn't so surprised by the way the news have spread inside the university. They wouldn't be the hottest couple for nothing.

"Sure Chan, but can we talk later, after school? I'm running late." Chae enunciated.

"Okay, I'll meet you later. And Chae, you need to stay away from Jennie, there is something you didn't know about her yet," he stated clearly.

Chae rose her eyebrow at him, she couldn't believe that Chanyeol has found the guts to actually say those things to her. More importantly to her girlfriend.

"You know what? Whatever it is, just leave it. There's nothing you can do to make me unlove Jennie." she marched her way inside her classroom, leaving Chanyeol behind.

"Hi Chae."
"Hello, Chae."
"You and Jennie are the hottest."
"You make the most gorgeous couple in the university if not in town."
Chae repeatedly hearing those words as she makes her way to the cafeteria, where the love of her life is waiting patiently for her. She wasn't ready for this kind of reaction, let alone their attention.

"What's with the crowd today?" she sat beside Jennie and kissed her cheek, making the other students squeal in excitement.

"You only heard half of it, baby." Jennie sighed.

"Relax you two, they are harmless," Jisoo reassured the couple.

"So, what did we miss, hmmmm?" Lisa smirked at the two.
"Last time we checked, you two were best friends since childhood. And now, after spending the night in the resthouse, you are now the hottest couple in the university. Spill the tea siszums." she teased.

"Lisa!" she tried to stop her. "Nothing happened, I mean, Chae just realized that she would be very lucky to have me as her girlfriend." Jennie wanted to laugh at her reasoning.

"Nothing happened? But then why are you blushing?" Jisoo won't just give up.

"I am not!" Jennie whined.

"You are indeed blushing, baby." Chae pinched Jennie's cheek.

She rolled her eyes on Chae, while Jisoo and Lisa were not able to control themselves and burst into a happy laugh.

"But it's true, Jisoo Unnie, remember when you came up to us to seek advice? You said you will never like the idea of seeing Lisa being with any other girl or boy on this campus. And so we told you to just tell her about your feelings for her, so you won't have any regret in the future. That's what I did, I think I wouldn't be able to like the idea of Jennie being in a relationship with someone else." Chae said those words while looking intently at Jennie. "And so I did what I think is best, I asked her to be my girlfriend the moment we arrived home. And she said yes, I'm overwhelmed," she added.

"Well knowing how whipped Jennie is to you? I bet she have said yes even if you haven't completed your confession yet." the smirk on her face could not be hidden.

"Unnie, that's not true, I even asked her twice, cos I couldn't believe that she would ask me to be her girlfriend," she explained.

"But that does not erase that something might have happened at the resthouse, right love? They could have made love 'til dawn." Lisa said out loud, making Chaennie shot her a deadly glare.

"Shut up, Lalisa!" Jennie said.

"Woaaah, I must hit a nerve, ain't I?" Lisa was surely enjoying teasing the couple.

"You're terrible. And you're playing innocent as if we didn't get to hear you scream while Jis--." Jennie was cut off by the loud ringing of the bell.

"Saved by the bell, I guess." Lisa grinned at them and ran away to avoid Jennie's fist.

"See you later baby, oh before I forgot, Mom and Dad called, she wants us all to come for dinner tonight. Since Alice will be arriving home." Chae informing the two girls.

"Sorry Chae, but Lisa and I have made plans already, I would really love to join you though, but we just can't bail on this one. We'll make it up to you, I promise." Jisoo held Chae's hand in apology.

"No it's okay Unnie, I guess some other time." Chae smiled at Jisoo.

"Please tell Alice I said "hi"," Jisoo added as they began walking to their classrooms.

"Yeah, will do," Chae answered Jisoo. "I'll see you later, wifey." she then said goodbye to Jennie and kissed her briefly.

"See you later hubby." she hugged her tight and went inside.

Chae is walking too fast because she doesn't want Jennie to wait long, she was the last one to leave their room because their professor had given her some instructions regarding some school matters.

She's nearing the entrance when she heard Chanyeol's voice calling her. She stopped even though she doesn't want to talk to him anymore after what he have said against Jennie. But for the sake of their friendship, she's willing to give him a second chance.

"What do you want, Chan?" she asked impatiently.

"Let's talk Chae, you need to know what happened 2 years ago. You need to know why I have to leave you without saying anything. You need to hear me out." Chanyeol said exasperatedly.

"Listen, Chan, I want to give you a second chance so I'm just gonna let it slide. But if this is about you asking me to leave Jennie for you, then that's not gonna happen cos I love her so much, I love everything about her, she's everything to me now, she makes me smile, she makes my heart flutter. I love her Chan. So please, stop already, if you still want my friendship." Chae dropped her cards down.

"Chae, baby, are you there?" Jennie's voice echoing in the hall.

Chae was about to answer her when Chanyeol said, "I know that I cannot change your mind, I know I have lost you the moment I left you, but you have to hear me and then decide, that's the time that I will stop chasing you. Meet me at the Music Club tomorrow, and I will tell you everything, if you will not come, then I guess, it's goodbye, it's really goodbye." Chanyeol ended the conversation and walk away.

"hey, there you are, what took you so long baby, and was that Chanyeol?" jealousy registered in Jennie's voice.

"Yes baby, but listen, you have nothing to worry about, he was just congratulating me for winning the heart of the most beautiful," "the smartest," "and the Queen bee of this campus." Chae pecked her lips between words. "I love you so much." and Chae claimed her lips hungrily.

Jennie was elated and kissed her back with so much fierce.

The sound of incoming footsteps broke them apart without breaking the loving stares for each other. They smiled naughtily.

"I love you so much, so much baby," Jennie replied and nibbled Chae's lips.

They walked hand in hand, with the feeling that nothing could break them apart.
