Working Romance

Chapter 3

Haruna's POV

I went to the cafeteria to order some food then my friends noticed me so they called my attention

"Haruna over here" Minami said as she waved her hand

I went to their table then we started to eat. We talked about our first day of work here at the Oshima Corporation

"The boss is so energetic" I told them

"Yeah" they agreed

"So are the rumors true?" Minami asked

"No it is not true"

A group of people went to the cafeteria and we were surprised because they are looking at us

"Takamina!" one of the girls shouted

"Acchan?" Minami asked

"Yes it's me" the girl replied

"Acchan!" she exclaimed as she ran towards her Acchan

"I missed you"

"I missed you too" Minami said then they hugged each other

They broke their hug after a few minutes then they introduced theirselves and vice-versa

"I'm Maeda Atsuko, the best friend of Takamina, nice to meet you"

"The ice queen has a best friend?" a girl teased her

"Shut up Mariko"

"My name is Shinoda Mariko nice to meet you"

"Ah you're the waitress earlier" Mii-chan pointed at her

"I'm surprised you remember me"

"What are you doing here?"

"Obviously I work here Gachapin"

"Gachapin?"

"Because you look like one"

"No I'm not old lady" while the two are busy with their bickering, we resumed our introductions

"I'm Itano Tomomi and that girl over there is Kasai Tomomi" she said as she pointed to the girl that is working at the cafeteria

"I'm Akimoto Sayaka nice to meet you"

"My name is Miyazawa Sae, Sayaka's partner nice to meet you"

"Partner?"

"We are the-" Akimoto-san tried to explain but was interrupted by Mii-chan

"They are the guards earlier" she pointed out

"I'm amazed by your memory-"

"Minegishi Minami just call me Mii-chan"

"I'm Takahashi Minami, also known as Takamina, nice to meet you"

"I am Kojima Haruna, the new secretary of Yuko-san" I said then they just looked at me seriously

"Many people quit because of some reason. I hope you aren't the same when you figured out her real personality" Miyazawa-san said

"What do you mean?"

"You heard the rumors right?" Watanabe-san asked as she appeared behind my back

"Rumors about Yuko-san? Yes I do but I don't believe it"

"You mean she doesn't made any move yet?" Miyazawa-san asked but was smacked by Akimoto-san

"I don't know what you're talking about. When I entered her office, I told her that I will be her secretary then she energetically hugged me but she apologized after that"

"Something is wrong with her"

"Maybe the past still hunts her" Kashiwagi-san said

"Something happened in the past that causes her to be like that. As her bestfriend it is not my place to tell you what it is but please be there for her. All she wanted is to have someone who will accept her real personality" Watanabe-san said

"I'll support her no matter what"

"Good"

"Girls your food will be cold if you do not eat it yet" Kasai-san reminded us then we continued eating

After a few hours, my shift is done. I am walking towards my apartment when suddenly two drunken men blocked my path

"What a jackpot we have" the first man said

"She is so beautiful" the second man agreed as they began to touch me

"Let go off her!" someone shouted
