Strings of blonde hair were fluttering through the sky as Jordan came flying through the door. A million stares came directly at her like a criminal before a jury. Maybe she should've have let Conrad drive her. She buried the question as idiotic. She did not want to become one of those basic white girls. The girls who always wore dresses like they were from a Prada magazine and had a little poodle in their Louis Vuitton purses. The girls who had boyfriends from the football team and the guys who hung around with them like little puppies. These girls were always so shallow and never knew how to have a deep conversation with others. Growing up, Jordan was always so independent as she could be. She had only been in New York City for four months and she already had figured out what people were like. The one person she couldn't figure out was Conrad. His soft chestnut hair with those ocean eyes that twinkled at her every time he saw her. His hands were soft as a baby and muscles bulging out at every time he wore a t-shirt. Conrad's words made her day and it was hard to focus when Conrad's smile was all she could see. She could never understand him. He played football but he was not a jock like the other stupid boys in her school. Her school was known for tight uniforms in a stuffy building. She hated the school as much as she hated the jocks. Guys being two faced. They spoke around teachers like the teachers were royalty. They named called and labeled the girls on a scale 1 to 10 as hot when the teachers weren't around. This didn't make her mad. It made her blood boil high. What kind of despicable creature created these vile numbers? Really. She tried numerous times to bring the issue up to the teachers but they had disregarded her saying that a certain boy cared so much for the school and couldn't do such a horrible act."Hello. How can I help you?", the dull and sad barista said.
"Umm...hello. I guess....I'll get your pumpkin latte today with two sugars".
" Well you really do love sugar. It will be $4.75", the barista sarcastically responded.
" Ok..here you go. You really are....."
"Next!!", the barista sourly responded.
She could not believe that barista or people could be this rude to customers irregardless of maybe losing their job. She learned to be quiet and quickly grabbed her latte. She dashed out the door and decided to call Conrad.
10 Minutes Later
Puff of smoke mixed with an object of sparkling of red came her way. She coughed and thought Conrad sometimes went over the top when he didn't need to. She smiled and pulled herself into the vehicle.
A million of colours shot in Jordan's viewpoint. There were a blurred of vehicles going up and down the road. Her eyes were slowly pulling toward darkness. She played on the comfy chair with her seatbelt tightly against her body. Her tiny fingers held tightly to Conrad's hand. She wanted to never let go. She wanted him to be here always. Would this relationship last? Many guys just didn't have the patience and love to do that. Conrad was different. Everyone around him said the same thing. She looked up and saw blue mixed with yellow. She knew where she was. It was her favourite spot. It was the place where she went every summer with her family. The feeling of bits of rocks mixed with brown and yellow layers mixed with Jordan's toes. Her eyes closing as she felt sunlight on her face. She could stay here for a lifetime.
Conrad smiled at Jordan. A lot of things had happened over the past two years. She was not the same girl who had stumbled in her classroom when she first met Conrad. She had learn to survive high school and couldn't wait what college had in store for her. Jordan and Conrad were both going to NYU and she thought about it. They both did not know what the future would hold for them, but they knew if they were together, it would be okay.
