Mel
"Hold her down! She's crashing!"
I can hear people screaming all around me and the noise is so loud. I feel like my ears will burst from everything and it's just excrutiating. My senses are dulled and can't make out hardly anything being said, I can't move, I'm trying to scream and nothing is coming out. I keep trying and trying to call for help but my voice won't work. Why won't it work? There's so much pain and it feels like every nerve is on fire My entire body aches like I'm being pricked a million times over with needles.
"What the hell is going on this time?" that voice, I know it. I hear that voice every night in my nightmares, reliving the worst moments of my life. Maybe I'm in another nightmare and I'll wake up any moment now and I'll be back home with . . . I'll be back home with . . . There's somone who's waiting for me to wake up next to them but who is it? I can't remember! Why can't I remember their name?
"With all of the electricity you had me put through her body there were some side effects you should have seen coming." replied a different voice. Wait, what side effects?
Maybe they meant the pain I felt all over, or the fact that I couldn't move. If only I had some way to get out of this situation I could escape or something. Wait, I can use my electricity to wake up! Come on! Wake up Mel!
I could feel a light inside me building and building. I tried grasping onto it but it kept slipping out of my fingers. All of a sudden, my entire body tensed up and it felt like all the pain just doubled. I could feel it flashing and flashing but I realized with every flash of pain I could grasp onto the light inside me. Each flash I had a tighter grip on my own light and the next flash of pain I took my light and pushed it back out as hard as I could.
I heard a loud bang and I tried to focus my newfound energy into being able to move or something. My eyes felt like they were glued shut but I kept trying and trying to open them. When I pried them open finally I saw bright lights above me but everthing was so fuzzy and I couldn't focus on things very well. A blurry figure leaned over me , blocking out my line of sight, and my nightmare became a reality.
"Welcome home, Melinda. I sure missed you."
