As a baby, she was left in a basket on the front porch of the Spellman's house, with a note that said: "𝒮𝒽𝑒 𝓈𝒽𝒶𝓁𝓁 𝒷𝑒 𝓃𝒶𝓂𝑒𝒹 𝒜𝓉𝒽𝑒𝓃𝒶, 𝒶𝓃𝒹 𝓌𝒽𝑒𝓃 𝓉𝒽𝑒 𝓉𝒾𝓂𝑒 𝒾𝓈 𝓇𝒾𝑔𝒽𝓉, 𝓈𝒽𝑒 𝓈𝒽𝒶𝓁𝓁 𝓀𝓃𝑜𝓌".
Although not related by blood, she was raised by both Aunt Hilda, Zelda, and cousin Ambrose.
The Aunties never uttered a single word to her about her true identity as she aged. How she was the daughter of a very high-ranking demon king, Beezelbub, and that she held more power than all of them combined.
They locked that carnivorous secret deep inside the purple velvet jewellery box on the antique dresser and stored away to never be spoken.
Two years after Athena arrived into their suitable household, Aunt Hilda got word that her brother Edward and his wife had died in a plane crash.

Sabrina, only a month-old baby, was taken into the Spell mans' care to be raised and nurtured alongside Athena. They were truly inseparable growing up. They would do everything together, and it was a rare sight to see them apart.
That was until high school when things started to shift. They were both offered a chance to sign their name in the Dark Lords book, a blood contract.
Athena took a keen interest in the dark arts where she was heavily seduced by the power, by the idea of hell-fires. She was drawn to it, like a magnet on a fridge. She needed to go there.
Sabrina, on the other hand, was distant and did not respond well to this offer.
The two of them started to drift apart at this point, dealing with this new information in their own ways, and this impacted their once-inseparable bond.
Athena wanted nothing to do with the mortal world, she loathed it. She had always been more rebellious and carefree than Sabrina. She'd always be causing mischief when the Aunties' were not looking, and her essence was devilish.
Sabrina, on the other hand, did not want to give up the mortal life she cherished dearly. Her mortal group of friends, and handsome boyfriend, Harvey. Since she was half-mortal she considered her life at Baxter high as half of her being. She was conflicted. She never asked for the life of a witch, and when she found out at age sixteen, just months ago, she did not know how to react. It would be an understatement to say that Sabrina had a couple of meltdowns.
Although, after an endless amount of persuasion, Sabrina did eventually attend the academy with Athena, who insisted on having her dearest sister by her side.
Sabrina still holds onto parts of her mortal life. While Athena sets fire to it.
