Violet was perplexed by Ashton. He was a man of many mysteries to her. She was not sure if she wanted to see him again or if she did not. She was not sure if she just felt sorry for the man.
She was rather upset with him for going out of her way to spend the day with him and his niece. When he ditched her to find his mother. Not that she could blame him to much for that. Her phone buzzed suddenly. She had a message from Ashton.
"Hello Violet, listen I am really sorry about the other day. I did not mean to take off on you after you came to see me. Just things got into a mess for me. I have not saw her again around here. I am not sure what my mother wanted. Shit I am in a mess right now. Can we talk? Have coffee? I promise I will not run off again" he begs her in a voicemail. "I understand you are pissed off at me. Please consider calling me. Hope to hear from you...well that is all for now. Bye" he sighs as he hangs up.
Violet replays the message one more time. She had her finger on the call back button. Did she dare?

"No, I better not" she grumbles. She needed to stay out of Ashton's messy life style. Her phone rang again, it was Leo.
"Hi there stranger" she answers.
"How are things going with your billion dollar boy?" he ask her.
"Considerate over with" she grumbles.
"Again? What did our boy do this time?" he asks her curiously.
"What did he do you ask? He ran off on our date. His mother showed up in town" she grumbles.
"I am sorry he ditched you" Leo sighs.
"Me to. His loss" she replies.
"Are you sure you never want to see him again?" Leo wants to know.
"Never ever" she says curtly.
"Alright. Well maybe hear him out. Maybe there is a reason for his actions" Leo warns her.
"You don't do that to Violet Harris on a date. I made time for him after he did not call me back. He has gone too far!" she snaps feeling anger bubbling inside of her.
"Down girl....down. Alright I will drop the sore subject of Ashton Maxford" chuckles Leo.
"Please do. So how have you been?" asks Violet.
"Busy as hell. I need a dinner date this week with my best girl soon" Leo replies.
"I would like that as well" she agrees.
"Oh how about Friday?" He asks her.
"Sounds good. About eightyish?" she asks.
"See you then. I will make dinner reservations for us" he offers.
