I posted a response for this challenge in the comments of said challenge. I'm posting it here as well since I like to keep track of my works, even random prompt responses.
Challenge:
Your task is to write a drabble based upon the prompt given. You do not have to include the text of the prompt within your entry.
Entries should be exactly 100 words in length
Prompt:
During your taxi ride home from an unsuccessful valentines date, you smell something unusual. On the seat beside you is someone else's coat. You pick it up, in the hope of finding the owners identification in one of the pockets, only to discover that beneath it is a pile of what you really hope aren't human hearts.
Response:
Saying goodnight to her awkward date and hailing a cab to take her home had been relieving. There was a old penny smell in said cab though and Kate noticed a raggedy coat next to her as the car started moving. She reached over to prod it and maybe the smell away from her in disgust.Almost as soon as the coat shifted, she realized that it wasn't the reason for the smell. Sitting there, piled neatly, were crimson colored lumps that stuck wetly to the material she had moved.
Kate screamed in horror and heard the cab's locks engage.
