"three, two, one, zero" we all jumped up as i looked over to my boyfriend kai. i looked down at my watch as his name didn't appear on my screen. our world was made up of this, we had a watch since we became teenagers. they all had a time set on it, so when we all turned 18, they would go off and we would then know who our soulmate is.
i obviously thought my soulmate was kai; he was so nice to me and he just made me feel at home. i gulped looking up from my watch. his name wasn't on my watch. "k-kai" i mumbled as i jumped into his arms. my name wasn't on his watch either. "oh my god" i cried on his arm, "i-i can't believe this" he said against my shoulder.
"how is this possible?. i thought we were meant to be" i said as my bottom lip quivered with sadness. "don't cry princess" he said as i pulled away. "get your hands off my girl" a voice said behind me. i furrowed my brows as kai looked behind me. "who are you?" kai asked. "i'm mattia, mattia polibio. y/n's soulmate" he smirked as i gulped.

"damn i got a good one. you're really fine mamas" he smiled as i rolled my eyes. "now come on. don't want to get in trouble now do we?" mattia said grabbing my hand. i sighed, i pulled away. "two minutes" he said looking away. i hugged kai as hard as i've ever hugged him. "i love you so much " i mumbled. "i love you " he said as i smiled.
"don't forget about me" i whispered as he nodded. "times up babygirl" mattia said as i pulled away. "goodbye kai" i said grabbing mattias hand. "oh come on you'll have more fun with me" mattia smiled. we walked to the main hall. where they assign us our new permanent homes. we move away from our parents home to start new a lifestyle
"i promise it'll be fun" he said against my head as i looked down.
