When people tell you to follow your dreams, most people shrug it off. They believe that the phrase has a lot of meaning behind it but not much meaning to their lives. It's common for people to not understand where they are going in life or what their sole purpose is, but once you take initiative into your future, you will discover that dreams really come true. Let me start by saying I've always loved to read, write, talk, etc. I have staged thousands of books in my head, and I still do daily. I think that reading is my key to happiness. More importantly, writing is what makes me feel more connected to the world than anything. Back when I was 10, I wanted to be an author or an English Teacher, something that would allow me to use my creative mind and help children see that it's okay to think outside of the box. Many times when I was younger, my mother told me that I would tell her stories, that I made up for hours, and they were quite interesting to her. Of course back then it was probably about flying pink cows, but it helped in my journey of becoming me. At breaks in school, I would write down information for my next character or a chapter in a book, but I would never finish these books, and I've always wished I could find these notebooks. I have just recently started to write a novel that I have been planning out for years, I have basic information for chapters written down, and lots of content to back up my story, however, I just can't seem to pinch together the perfect climax to my stories yet. I believe that writing books will be my future. I'm currently attending college to pursue a degree in literature, because it will help broaden my creative skills and my vocabulary.
Not only have I been inspired by many people that have a writing platform, I'm most inspired by Anna Todd, author of the After series. I believe she is so inspiring because she made my future look so easy. Many stressful, long nights of putting together chapters and content, really paid off for her. I think she is part of the reason that I follow my dreams everyday and want to make my dreams my future. While her stories have a lot of information behind them and I give her loads of props for writing as much as she did, that is one of my biggest dreams. To one day write a series that thousands of people are extremely interested in. I couldn't put her book down for more than ten minutes, and I hope one day readers can say the same about mine. Following my dreams so far has been a stressful journey filled with some let downs, however, I will continue to push forward to ensure that I pursue every career goal in my future.
