Ugh how much I've hated being social, especially around happy people. Don't they have something else to be bothered about? I thought to myself, while Summer was almost literally dragging me across the school hallway. She stopped and turned around "W-why are you looking at me and why did we stop?" I said all surprised. "Well you see, you know how you bumped into me this morning?" she said kind of nervous. "Yeah, I remember it? Why? I've apologised to you." she looked down to her shoes and I swear I was getting annoyed, so I said: "okay, say it." she took a deep breath and said: "I saw that you bumped into another student before you bumped into me. I wasn't stalking you but I was just passing by and when I saw your schedule it surprised me." I looked at her completely shocked. "Why in the whole damn world would you be surprised with my schedule? The hell is wrong with it?" I said super annoyed and pissed. "Promise me you won't do something stupid?" she said nervously and I just had to laugh it off. "I promise I won't," I said I've after I stopped laughing. She took a deep breath before she said: "you have all of the classes with him" the first thought I got was 'what in the actual hell?' "you've got be freaking kidding me right?" she looked back at me and before she got a chance to say anything I said: "okay, I'll ignore him. Can we go to the class now?" she was surprised at how much I didn't care about it. She stopped me before I made a step "you do know he's one of the most popular guys in this school and that every girl would literally be dying to be in at least one of his classes? And you simply don't care?" she said. I looked back at her. "And? So what if he's the best boy in this school. The most handsome, the smartest. He could be a damn billionaire and I wouldn't care." and that was the truth. I just didn't care that I have classes with the Mr Popular Boy. why should I care? Just because 99.99% of the girls in this school are literally running behind him doesn't mean I will. Summer stayed without words so we went into the classroom. "Welcome Mrs Skies," said a teacher that had too much time in her life so she kept smiling. I nodded to her and turned around to see my new classmates. Honestly? There were way too many people in this classroom. "Students, this is our new student Storm. I want every one of you to be nice to her. Especially you Mr Fluff." he looked up and I almost started laughing. "What's so funny Mrs Skies?" my teacher asked. "Oh nothing, nothing," I said, pretending I have no reason to laugh. "Okay class this period will be a little different. Instead of doing our usual work we will meet with our new student. So Mrs Skies, tell us something about yourself." I took a deep breath and reminded myself why exactly am I here and that I'm not allowed to say it. "Hi, my name's Storm Skies, I'm 18 years old. I've come from not really rich but also not poor family and I've always had everything I needed. I was looking for a lot of different opportunities to study my passion for writing in a foreign country and when, with the help of my best friend, I've found that in this school was one spot left I didn't hesitate to try and get in. And now I'm here." I said. "I'm not freaking buying this damn lie. It's obvious she's hiding something. Come on Storm, tell us why you're really here. You're not so damn innocent." I looked at the teacher and then back at him. "Mr Fluff I want you to stay here after class." the teacher said. "Well Mr Fluff, if you're so smart then why don't you tell us the real reason why you're here, huh? Did someone send you here, or was it just an opportunity for you?" I said and before I got a chance to continue my teacher interrupted me: "Storm Skies, I will not accept this behaviour in my class understood?" she looked at me and i only nodded. "Good, you'll be sitting next to Parker Fluff. And I don't want to hear you two have any arguments back there." I started walking towards the only empty seat left when a girl grabbed my hand. I looked down at her and she said: " You're one of luckiest girls in this school." I pulled my arm away, bent down to her and said: "does it look like I give a damn about it?" she looked back at me with eyes filled with fear. It pleasured me, seeing people being scared and weak. The first period we only talked about each other. How boring that can be. Imagine sitting in a classroom with other 39 kids who are just talking about themselves. Booooriiiiiiiing!! The bell rang and finally, I could leave. "Before everyone leaves, I have a homework assignment for you all. I want you to start your own story. We've practised a lot so I expect good grades from everyone. You have 2 full weeks to start and finish your assignment." everybody started to complain about how boring this is, and how hard will it be. I've almost left when the teacher called me "What is wrong with you two? It's the first day of school." he looked at me first and then the teacher. "She bumped into me in a hallway and..." before he could finish his sentence I interrupted him. "Excuse me? Yes, I did bump into to you, but I had guts to say sorry while you were just looking at me with a smile on your face!" I said as I was walking towards him and he was backing up. "I want your assignments next week on my desk. End of discussion." we left the classroom and he was obviously pissed. "Are you nuts? Do you want me to fail this year?" he was way too pissed at me. "Look hun." I said. "It ain't always about you, and it is not going to be always about you. So why don't you suck it up, move on and I'd like to see your assignment is done in a week." everybody was watching us and he felt embarrassed so I just left. I swear if have one more class like this I will kill someone. "Hey, Storm. What happened with Parker, you and teacher?" I sighed. "Oh we just got into an argument in front of her and she shortened our due date for a week. Sucks for him" i said giving and showing no care at all. She was confused, but she also didn't ask more questions. All of the other classes went by normally. There was no more talking about ourselves. The bell rang. "Finally!" I said out loud. "Now I can go home and sleep for the whole day." I was already walking out of school when someone stopped me. I turned around and was our Mr. Popular Boy. "what do you want?" i said. "Well, I just heard you talking to yourself how you're going to sleep through the whole day. So I've decided to remind you that you have an assignment to do and..." he was getting on my nerves so I had to shut him up. "Look Mr. Perfect, mine is going to be done by tomorrow okay? Now you do yours and I'll do mine." i said and left.
