Krist went home that night smiling from ear to ear. In fact, he had on a stupid grin for the next two days at home daydreaming. He kept replaying that night in his head. He can't believe Singto has been trying to talk to him all this time.Sitting yet again in front of his laptop at home, he can't wait for tomorrow. Tomorrow is Friday, and he will get to see Singto again. He thought about how he was going to greet Singto in the morning tomorrow. He wants to keep it friendly and casual.
"Good morning Singto." Too formal.
"Hi Singto!" Too excited. I'm not some cheerleader.
"Hello, it's me. I'm in..." Why am I singing? I'm not freaking Adele.
"Hey Singto." Hmm, too casual.
"Morning Singto." Okay, this works. Cooler.
The front door opens, and slams shut. Gun dropped his bag, and shuffled his feet across the room. He slumped on the couch like he does every night coming home.
"Are you practicing your greeting again?" Gun rolled his eyes. Even though he was happy that Krist had finally talked to Singto, he can't help thinking that it's still moving way too slow.
"Well, hello to you too. How was your day? Mine was fine until my sassy roommate showed up." Krist replied. He couldn't believe the whole elevator thing was Gun's plan. He was genuinely scared. What if he had made a fool of himself? Thank goodness Singto was there.
"Stop daydreaming would you? Why don't you think about how you're going to ask him out? I heard from Joyce that Cindy wants to ask Singto out since he is now single. You better act fast this time." Gun said, grabbing the remote to turn on the TV.
Krist frowned, and pouted at this news. Cindy the receptionist is pretty, young, and spunky. She just recently graduated from college. Everyone adored her in the office. Is he about to go through months of depression again when Singto starts dating Cindy? What if they don't break up? Then they would get married, have kids, ride into the sunset, sit in matching rocking chairs, count the stars, and go on retirement cruises together? Ugh, they would be the perfect couple. Krist slammed his head on top of his laptop, poofing air.
Gun just shook his head with a smirk.

The next day, Krist went into the office deflated. He started up his laptop as usual, and got to work. Singto was already at a meeting somewhere across town. He didn't even get a chance to use his practiced greeting. He kept stealing glances at Cindy. He could totally imagine Singto and Cindy dating. They both have perfect hair, and slim long legs.Knock. Knock.
"Good morning Krist." Matt, his boss said standing by the door.
"Good morning Boss." Krist was embarrassed to be caught daydreaming.
"Can you go meet Singto at the client's office? Something is wrong with his laptop again. He needs to meet with the client in one hour, so there's not enough time for him to come back." Matt asked.
"Sure Boss. I will get going now." Krist was more than happy to go. He quickly grabbed his stuff to leave.
"Here's the address. Do you need Singto's number?" Matt asked, handing the business card with the address over to Krist.
"I have it."
Krist took a taxi straight to the client's building. Twenty minutes later, he was standing inside the building. He called Singto right away.
