"As human beings, sometimes it's better to stay in the dark, because in the dark there may be fear, but there is also hope." -Grey's Anatomy.
chapter 2:
Waking up with the worst headache, I headed to the kitchen in my brothers appartment to get a cup of coffee, then saw that there was already one ready for me with a note under it saying, "Morning little sis, heading to the gym with Ben. Be ready to go get chick-fil-a when we get back."
Smiling, I grab the coffee and head to the bathroom to find some tylenol which relieves my headache within 5 min. I sit down to watch my favorite show, grey's anatomy, and by the time im done with two episodes my a sweaty Liam walks in the door.
"Hey, you ready to swing by chick-fil-a?" He says, throwing on a clean t-shirt.
"Yeah, let me slip on some shoes first."
After putting on my shoes and slipping out the door with Liam, I open the passenger door and jump back a couple feet.
"Who are you!?" I yelled at the random guy sitting in my brothers car.
"Noah, its fine. This is Ben, he's my roomate." Liam explained.
"Well can you tell your roomate to move so I can sit shotgun?"
"Excuse me? I've been sitting in this seat for three years while you've been partying in New York, I get shotgun." Ben said, speaking to me for the first time.
"Hey, how about neither of you sit shotgun." Liam suggested.
"No, it's whatever. I'll just sit in back but I get shotgun on the way home." I say, which starts another 15 min argument with Ben.
"Oh please, you guys sound like an old married couple." My brother said.
Our argument lasted until we we're leaving chick-fil-a, but then Ben suprized me by letting me have shotgun on the way home. Sitting there, I realized that I would have never argued like this with anyone else, so why does he make me so confident? Looking at him through the rearview mirror, I take time to actually look at him. He has short brown hair, blue eyes, and is obnoxiously cute.
"Noah, are you even listening to me?" Liam started complaining.
"Mhhm?"
Liam smirked at me, then looked back at Ben. "Anways I was saying," he continued, but Ben and I wernt listening. He just looked at me the rest of the ride back to the apartment, which had me wondering how living here would be.
