Beomgyu was already on his third year in Highschool, just a year away from his most awaited moment in life, graduation.
He hated school but he didn't have any choice though, he needed to atleast finish his highschool in Korea before his brother pick him up and bring him to United States.
He's definitely not a talker, you won't hear his voice unless it's needed.
He's a loner but he didn't mind, silence was his old friend ever since.
Other students really didn't care about his existence.
Who would care about him? He was just average.
Small physique, the boy who always wear big-rimmed glasses that almost covered half of his face, they barely could see his eyes or any of his distinct facial features with those glasses and for him, it was his advantage.
He wore his uniform neatly, just like any normal student would do.
He walked on the side, almost beside the wall.
He's a wallflower after all.
Although with this kind of attitude, other students didn't dare to bully Beomgyu.
That boy wasn't an easy prey.
On his first year, because of his nerdy appearance, those cool-pretending kids tried to pick on him, not knowing that he would never be an easy target.
His sharp tongue do all the tricks.
Thanks to it, he lead a very peaceful highschool life, away from all the dramas and attention.
He wakes up, go to school, listens to class, eats every breaks, go back to class, wait for dismissal and go straight home, it was his normal routine.
Oh, he spend some minutes of his afternoon breaks with his friend too.
Toto, the amazon parrot.
He's the only one who he considered as his friend.
That science garden located near at the back of the school where he found a pretty bird cage hanging at the side of the center gazebo, Toto could talk, maybe spew some random words but the boy found it comforting.
The parrot was good at repeating words but sometimes, he could answer him with sense.
Toto became his safe place, the only friend that could make his highschool life worth while.
-----------It's been months since his junior year started, just like the normal days, he was now settled on the last seat on the last row in their classroom, quietly listening to class.
It was like unwritten rules where his classmates know that he should get the last seat, preferably by the window at every room they went.
and for that, he was thankful.
He wasn't the type of student who ace in academics or in sports, he was just average, already contented with a passing grade.
Honestly, he didn't think that he was being left out, although all his classmates got groups of their own, Beomgyu was a sucker for solitude, he was his own company.
He rarely talked to them but everything went normal as the years went by, all his classmates were already used to his behavior.
If Beomgyu talked to you, it means it was something important.
If he smiled at you, no, it's just your imagination.
Beomgyu rarely smile, he always wore a deadpan expression, he was placid, barely reacts.
But they were used to it.
--------
The weather was bitching today, their class was almost over but the pouring rain wouldn't stop and Beomgyu, with his brows furrowed under his big glasses was currently cursing silently about not bringing an umbrella.
Out of all days, he forgot to bring an umbrella and now, the clouds decided to cry, what a luck.
Should he asked for a spare umbrella?
Of course, he won't.
Staying few more minutes, maybe an hour after class won't hurt, he would just wait for the rain to stop or maybe if it wasn't pouring that hard anymore, he could just run to the nearest bus stop.
Fuck his umbrella, he thought.
The bell rung, class was finally over.
All the students were leaving their classrooms in haste, Beomgyu stayed behind.
He really wondered why people liked joining the crowd, they were running, the corridor were full of students, the loud chatting, the incessant laughs and the girls constant whining about the muddy sidewalks.
It was just noise and he hated it.
Or maybe it was just his introverted self, hating on everything associated with interpersonal communication.
After some minutes, the noise died down, only few students were still at the school, those who have afterschool clubs' activities, some student assistants and students who were staying because of detention.
The boy decided to leave his room, the rain was still pouring hard.
As much as he wanted to leave, he couldn't just run through the pouring rain for too long, his bag will get soak and he might catch a cold or worst, he might get sick after this.
Beomgyu managed to run towards the waiting shed without getting too wet, he shook his head to somehow remove the droplets of water off his hair, his eyeglasses fogged up because of the rain as well.
He barely could see because of it so he finally removed it and kept it in his bag.
Beomgyu actually has a 20/20 vision, his glasses was just his front.
Knowing that his face might attract attention, well now, it happened.
Too focused on drying himself and thinking on how to go home without getting too wet, he didn't notice a guy already standing beside him.
Just like him, he didn't bring his umbrella too.
But instead of worrying on how to get home, Yeonjun found himself staring hard at the boy beside him.
He looked like a cute puppy, the way he tiny shook his head to remove the water made the older boy feel different emotions.
The boy beside him was too pretty.
Too pretty that it was impossible for the whole school not to know.
But why he only see him now?
------------------Hi! This story was inspired by Taehyun's reply in Weverse where he said that Beomgyu will be Geum Jandi in BOF.
So what do you think? Hahaha! Idk, why I suddenly made a story while I still have an ongoing one. 😭😭
I'll try to update this regularly too.
Please leave some comments, it's my strength! Love you guys! ❤
