Babysitter

(Draco's POV)

"I don't want a babysitter Bubby! I want you!" Darcy whined at me as i buttoned my shirt. "Sweetheart, Mom and Dad are going on their business trip. I have my school trip to Paris. You have to have a babysitter. I promise to call every night and tell her all the rules. I'll call and sing to you so you don't have nightmares princess" I crouched down and she flipped my collar down. 

"But what if I do have nightmares Draco.. you won't be here to hug me and give me kisses" she whispered and I sighed softly, gently brushing the strand of hair that fell in front of her begging eyes. "just try the babysitter sweet girl, please? I'll be gone for 7 days. You can call me as long as you want, here" I stood up and walked to my drawer, pulling it open and taking out my shirt.

"sleep in this, it'll be big on you but it'll feel like i'm hugging you, I promise" I told her and she held it in her hands tightly. "but.. it's not you" she whispered very softly, tears glossing her eyes.

My heart melted at the sight of her, I'm never away from her longer than a day. I swiftly picked her up and put her on my hip. "Listen here Princess, I'm your big brother. I never want to be away from you- however stubborn you are. You're like my own baby, you mean everything to me sweet girl. I'll treat you to as much ice cream and candy you want when i come home. Okay?" She didn't nod her head or anything, but rub her eyes slowly. 

"your phone is ringing" She whispered softly, and i looked back and saw my phone lit up on the bedside table with Harry's name one it. 

I walked over with her on my hip still and picked it up. "Good morning" I said and Harry low mumbled laugh came from the other side. "you ready yet?" he mumbled and I smirked "Yeah, clearly you're not sleeping beauty. Darcy doesn't want me to go on the trip" "Please make him stay, Haz!" Darcy whined and I put the phone on speaker so she could hear him.

 "I can't do that pretty girl, he's already paid for it. I bet you can fit in his bag though-" "Harry" I laughed softly and she bit her nails. "no biting princess" I told her and she dropped her hand to her side. "Go get ready Harry, I'll be there to pick you up in half an hour" I said and he hummed.

I started to get another call after Harry hung up, saying he misses Darcy and how he's going to give her the bunches of little kisses she likes on her cheeks when he sees her again. "Hello, Mr. Malfoy? I'm pulling up now" Miss Evelyn said, the Babysitter.

"We'll be down in a bit." I said and she hung up.

"let's go gorgeous-" "Don't let me go" she squeezed around me neck and i smiled, hugging her tightly as i walked out of my room with my neatly packed bag.

I let Evelyn in and I gave her a list of things Darcy needs everyday and the time shes able to call. "she's gorgeous" She said, smiling at Darcy but Darcy didn't smile back. "she's very shy, she doesn't want a babysitter- she's very um attached to me" I said and she nodded. "I want Harry, Draco please. I want Harry, just for a little bit" she whispered and I smiled "who's Harry?" The brunette girl asked and I smiled "My boyfriend" I said simply and she nodded slowly, shocked. 

She picked her phone up as if she was getting a call "I- I'm getting a very important call i need to take-" She said, putting her phone to her ear and walking outside. 

I texted Harry and asked him to come over earlier cause Darcy wanted to see him, yet I couldn't go pick him up and he said he'd be here in a bit.

"Hey, I thought you said there was the babysitter here?" He said, walking in as Darcy and I sat on the couch. "Uh yeah? she had to take a phone call-" "she's not outside.. did she leave last minute?" Harry said and I dropped my head back. Harry picked Darcy up and gave her bunches of soft kisses on her face. 

"what am i going to do" I mumbled, defeated. Harry whispered something to Darcy, then let her down. "Bubby.. can i pretty please come with you?" she whispered, her eyes big with sparkles and softness. "gosh, alright. Go get your bag ready" She jumped up and down happily, squealing and then ran up the stairs. "you're so lucky we're on school break" I sighed, standing up and wrapping my arms around his neck and kissing him softly. 

"ready!" she giggled happily, skipping down in her little shoes. "Got everything?" I asked and she nodded, Harry smirked and threw me my keys. "guess it's time to go" He smirked and I rolled my eyes and grabbed my bag and Darcy's hand with my other one.

"Now, who's this?" Our teacher, Mrs. Fur. She was a slender woman with high cheekbones and a cheery smile, asked us as we waited for everyone to get to the school. "This is my Little sister, Darcy. She's going to have to tag along, Madame, our parents are on a business trip and the babysitter ditched last second." I told her and she grabbed her clipboard from under her arm and flicked I assuming me and Harry present. "There's no Jane here, I believe her mom called in saying she was sick so Miss Malfoy will get her seat with me-" "no, Madame, That's not necessary. You see, she has very bad separation anxiety with Draco, 3 seats together would be preferred please" Harry said and she nodded. "alright" she turned away and walked towards the other kids.

They called us onto the white, clean cut bus and we sat in the back. Our bags under the bus. 

"blankey" Darcy whispered, and I smiled and gave her, her small golden silk blanket.  "This is going to be fun" Harry said, putting his hand on the side of Darcy's head and gently kissing the top of it.

We arrived at the airport about an hour later, Darcy had her arms wrapped around my left one and was asleep. "Carry her please?" I said softly and Harry stood to pick her up and i slid my arm out from her grip. "no- Dwaco-" she whimpered softly, i gently shushed her and Harry rocked on his feet slowly as she hugged him tightly.

We all walked through the airport together and met at the gates, soon we boarded and We gave Darcy the window seat. This was the first time she's ever been on a plane since she was born, she was awake now with her nose basically pressed against the glass. "Baby, sit back and buckle sweet stuff, we're about to take flight" i told her and she scooted back so her back was pressed to the seat and clicked the seat belt in and lightly bounced her feet as they didn't touch the ground just completely.

"Darce, you can take the seat belt off now" Harry told her as he laced his hand with mine and i smiled, we were in the air now so she unbuckled it and looked out the window again. I couldn't help but take a picture of her all happy and excited to hang up in my room.

"I need to sleep" I mumbled, rubbing my eyes, I've been up for hours and Darcy fell asleep on the bus here so she wasn't tired and i wasn't too sure about Harry. He always looks tired so. "Go to sleep, i can watch Darcy" Harry said softly, squeezing my hand lightly and i nodded slowly, leaning my seat back a bit. "Sleep well handsome" Harry hummed, gently kissing my head as i cuddled into his arm. 

"Draco, can i sleep on your lap?" Darcy whispered, leaning over the seat arm and I hummed, opening my eyes. "sure princess" I mumbled softly and she climbed over, sitting comfortably and i wrapped my arms around her as she pressed into my chest. "I love you Bubby" she whispered softly and i smiled, kissing her head lightly "I love you too Sissy" I hummed making her smile against my chest.
