(Draco's POV) (4 years later [Darcy's Graduation])
"My sweet angel all grown up" I said softly, holding Darcy's hands. She looked so pretty in her graduation gown. "I'm all grown up" Darcy said looking like she was going to break down in tears. "Hey baby girl, no.. listen, it's okay darling. You'll never stop being my sweet princess.." I said slowly, she swallowed a bit and shifted the flowers in her hand and smiled. "Is this the end?" Darcy asked and I shook my head "it's only starting, Darling" I said and she smiled wider, wrapping her arms around my neck and hugging me. "you know I love you right Bubby?" Darcy said quietly, she hasn't called me Bubby in a while- usually just Dray, but boy did i miss it.. she went 17 years calling me Bubby but stopped for a bit. "I'm sorry-" Darcy pulled back quickly. "Bubby don't cry, please" I laughed softly, wiping the small tears from under my eyes. "I love you more than anything in this world, Darcy. You'll always be my little princess.. I promise" I put my pinkie up and she smiled, wrapping her pinkie around mine and we lifted our hands to our lips and kissed them lightly.
"Forever?" "and always" I said back to her and she giggled, wrapping her arm around mine and we walked to find Harry.
Harry proposed to me 2 years ago and we got married just a few months ago, how he did it was really cliche and I loved it:
"Harry why are we at the high school" I laughed as we walked hand in hand to the back of the school here the football field was. "it's a surprise" he said, rubbing the back of my hand slowly with his thumb."wow the sunset looks gorgeous" I said softly and Darcy walked in front of us "you guys are slow!" she teased, hopping down the stairs and Harry laughed "not so fast Missy" he said and she spun around in her gorgeous black dress.
"Does this remind you of anything?" we stopped at the top of the hill under the big tree. I smiled and nodded. "What about-" He pulled the blanket out we sat on that evening and laid it flat. "Thought I'd bring my sweet love back to where I fell madly in love with him" Harry said softly, grabbing my waist and bringing me close. I chuckled softly, putting my arms around his neck and gently kissing him. I knew by how quiet Darcy was being, she was taking pictures but she always did that so I brushed it off.
"come sit with me" Harry took my hand and he sat down so i did too, he laid on his back like he did before, his hand behind his head with a knee up. But then he lifted himself onto his elbows and kinda laid on his side.
He shifted a little bit I think grabbing something from his pocket. "Bubby look! fireflies!" Darcy said happily behind me, I turned around to see her, i got a flash of memories in my head- she looked like a little kid again, dancing and playing in the grass.. her hair spun with the dress and she caught one of the fire flies "Bubby look! I caught one!" her little voice when she was 7 echoed in my head and I smiled. I blinked and 16 year old Darcy was there, her black dress flowing lightly with her hair just like she was a kid.
"She's all grown up-" I turned my head back around and Harry was sat there smirking with a small velvet black box with a silver band ring with rows of diamond across the front. "oh my god" i choked out softly, tears swelling my eyes. "Draco Lucius Malfoy, would you please take the honor of being the one I spend everyday of forever with?" Harry said softly, I could tell Darcy was stood to the side taking pictures of us but I was crying so that wasn't my first priority. "oh my god, yes Harry! oh my god" I gasped, lost for words. I knew this was coming soon- I hoped so that is but I didn't actually prepare myself when it would happen.
He smiled and gently slid the ring on my left ring finger and he pulled me in for a slow kiss. "I love you with all my heart, Draco. Everything I've been through, you've fixed. You were always there and helped me when I didn't want anyone. You're the light in my darkness and I can't thank you enough, Thank you for giving me happiness when I was giving up.. thank you for letting me raise your sweet angel with you, thank you for letting me into your family" Harry said softly against my lips and I tried so hard not to cry even more as I smiled like an idiot but small tears dripped out of my eyes.
"I've never wanted anyone more, it was always you but I didn't know it like that. I knew you as the gorgeous shy boy even if you were snobby, you always had a soft spot for me. And I fell in love with it, the day I brought you here and when I kissed you.. everyday after that I wanted to it constantly, I really wanted you.. I fell hard and fast but I'm so glad you were already down there to catch me" Harry teased lightly and I laughed.
"well come on, i'm not going to be the only one talking" Harry poked my tummy and I wiped my face. "Nothing is for certain, I didn't know if Darcy was going to like you, I didn't know if you were going to be my happy ever after but I really am glad you are. You being with me made me feel like my life was perfect.. I didn't want that to change, I didn't want to lose the one I loved with all my heart. I wasn't sure if you even liked me at first but then every time you kissed me it felt genuine" "cause it was" he cut me off and I laughed, hitting his shoulder. "you really mean the world to me Harry James Potter, and you mean the world to my little Darcy. I'm not always able to be there but god am I grateful you're able to help her too. You complete us" I finished, and he smiled at me with the biggest smile yet and I blushed a bit.
He pressed his lips to mine again and I couldn't help but smile. "I love you Haz" I said softly "I love you too Blondie" he teased and I chuckled against his lips. Darcy put her phone down "Pictures and Videos are done! now get over here Bubby" Darcy said and I laughed, standing up. She gave me a wrapped what looked like a book.. I slowly unwrapped it and smiled. "Never forget the best times" I read the front slowly, in the front of the book was a picture of Me, Darcy, and Harry. I opened it and it started off with pictures of Darcy when she was a baby and me when I was younger.
As I flipped through we slowly grew older, each day I was remembering.. I stopped at the one of Darcy and I on this hill that Harry took, our noses brushed together and I could feel my eyes filling with tears again. The pictures started to include Harry in them.. time really did fly. I could feel the tear dripping down my cheek again. I finished going through the pictures, on the empty page was a sticky note. "Who said memories stop here? fill them up with what your heart desires, we'll be here to continue to fill them up with you" I read slowly and I looked back up to Darcy and she smiled. "I know you like when I take pictures and I know you like when you have pictures so.." Darcy said lightly and I handed the book to Harry who was stood next to me now and I pulled Darcy into a tight hug, she giggled and hugged my waist back. "I love you so much Princess, thank you so much. I love it a lot" I said softly and she leaned back to kiss my cheek "I love you too Bubby, and always will even when I'm all grown up" she said and I laughed softly.
"you'll always be my little baby girl" I said softly, making her giggle again.
"Darcy" I stopped her in front of the school, we were getting ready to go home but I stopped her and she turned back around, looking at me. "promise me something?" I asked and she nodded. "Never give up, okay Princess?" I said softly, my throat feeling tight as I almost started crying again. "why would I, Bubby?" she said with a small smile, taking my hand in hers "I got all I need right here, I wouldn't want to give up on the one who's been by my side for everything, the one who has raised me to be the smart girl I am now. I wouldn't be Darcy Lynn Malfoy without my Draco Lucius Malfoy" she said softly and a tear dripped again "I didn't mean to make you cry again Bubby, I'm sorry" she said quickly and i laughed softly, shaking my head. "Don't worry. they're all happy tears, looking at my baby girl all grown up" I said softly, wiping them away.
"But just know, Everyone is broken.." "But they're fixable" she finished and I smiled "Indeed they are" I said, looking up to see Harry walking towards us with Darcy's graduation present. "so you remember that golden retriever you wanted when you were younger? we found the perfect one" I said, turning her around and she squeaked happily. "Meet, Daisy Malfoy" Harry said softly, giving Darcy the puppy and the little fluff ball started licking her face. "Draco! Harry! Thank you so much" she giggled happily and I smiled "I wanted to wait, even though we could of had a puppy for a long time. I knew it was best to do it when you were older" I said, my heart feeling warm and she smiled brightly.
"Happy graduation baby girl" Harry said, kissing her head and she giggled happily.
I knew this was my happy ever after, being with the two that I love with all my heart... seeing them truly happy. They are my Happy Ever After..
