"Lisa!" Bambam, my brother, called to me. "Lisa can you come downstairs please?"
"I'm coming." I closed my diary, went to the closet, grabbed a lavalava (A wrap-around skirt that you tie in a not to keep it up from the side (women/girls) or the front (men/boys) , to wrap around my waist (assuming there were visitors downstairs), and made my way out of the room. I still hadn't taken a bath.
As I trudge into the living room, I saw I was right; my brother wasn't alone. He was with somebody--a handsome somebody.
I looked at Bambam and walked to the chair next to him. I stood there, waiting.
They both stood when I sat on the couch.
Bambam introduced him to me, but I ignored my brother.
"This is Jeon, the son of the people who bought the house next door."
The billionaire, Jeon? You're kidding, right? Why would they buy a house in this area? That can't be right.
I was trying to check him out, from his shining shoes up to his hot, styling hair. I thought that he would be around his 30s or mid-30s. His body caught my attention, and I couldn't stop staring. Underneath that suit he was wearing, something was heating up this house from within. From him.
"Ms. Manoban, it's a pleasure to meet you," he said in a deep voice.
Dang! What is he, a Siant? I don't even know his first name. "And your name is....?" I dragged out my question.
"Oh, my name is Jeon Jungkook, the vice president of the House of Jeon, my father's company. Well, sort of."
"Sort of?" I didn't know what to say when he was already taking my breath away. I mean...duh.
"We'll get there." He smirked.
"Jungkook, perfect. Well my name is..." Oh dear what's my name?
I look away from him to think.
My brother looked at me blankly. "Liz."
"What?"
"Your name is Lisa. Did you really wait for me to say it to you?"
"Right, no, sorry. I got lost in the moment. My name is Lisa." I chuckled. "Please sit." They sat.
I looked at Bambam.
"I'll be upstairs. I don't aant to be included. I hate conversations. And don't tell me to fetch you water. I'm tired too," Bambam said as he turned his back to me and made his way upstairs.
He sounded tired.
"Sorry about his manners. He never behaves when there are new guests in our house, especially new faces. But I guess I'll fetch us something to drink, eh? Beer?" I asked.
"Water is fine with me, thank you." He gave me a sly grin. I stood up, still looking at him as he looked at his phone.
When I headed back from the kitchen with glasses of water in both hands, I heard him talking. I stayed behind the kitchen door for a minute and listened.
"Yes, Mum, I'm here. No, I don't think their parents are at home...I know Mum...yes, I know what to do. I know! No. Just Lisa or something. Okay, I'll call you later. I have a meetinv to attend to now. Okay, bye, love you too." I saw him put his phone back in his suit pocket and lean back to the chair next to where I was sitting.
Making yourself comfortable in my house? A meeting? Are you really that serious? Good lie, Mr. Cute. That's a very good lie to your own mother.AUTHOR:
