The city was calm and filled with an array of different lights, life buzzing and humming around the entire place. Humans and monsters roamed around freely, enjoying the busy but peaceful atmosphere the world held.

At least, what the world once held.

Loud horns and blazing sirens replaced the buzzing life, chasing away the calmness in the atmosphere, replacing it with a sense of terror not a single person would want to feel. What was happening? why were there loud horns and blazing sirens roaring at the serenity? What was wrong?

Surprised, drivers hit their breaks as a reflex, crashing against each other, ending up in them contributing to the endangerment of the once peaceful environment. Humans and Monsters stopped in their tracks as they watch how their city was suddenly set into a fiery blaze. What once was as calm as a river was left evaporated.

"You've been lied to," a silent voice whispered into everyone's ears. The intensity of their voice caused each person to cover their ears in a desperate attempt to protect their eardrums. They were able to comprehend the voice but were still confused as to what it meant. The mysterious voice was enough to distract anyone from taking action in fighting off the fire.

Multiple stomping footsteps were heard after a sudden gush of wind. People looked up from where the wind came from and wished that they didn't have eyes.

There, standing in front of them, were clones of themselves. There was a single clone for each person, eerily standing in front of them with dark voids for eyes.

"I am not the clone. You are the clone. Your world is the clone. Your whole civilisation is a clone. A crumpled up copy of our original universe. Disposing of it would mean nothing. No one will remember anyone."

The doppelgangers all opened their mouths in sync as they spoke. The ground shook with every sentence they proclaimed. The voids in their eyes seemed to suck out the humans' and monsters' souls as they stood cemented to the ground.

The doppelgangers grabbed the shoulders of the ones who looked like them in a tight manner, and it felt like their bones were going to break. It made the people flinch, cower, and stare at them with fear. The voids in their eyes were consumed with swirls of fire, each moving in a different pattern particular to the other eyes.

Soon, the swirls morphed and became a figure, a representation of the person's being, slowly moving around and mimicking their past actions. Their eyes displayed the person's broken memories, fears, and things that haunted the person. Everyone wondered if they really were the clone, seeing that the doppelganger in front of them knew everything about them, it was shown in their void eyes.

Everyone wondered: What could all this mean?

"It means that you are..."

Fake.

"Paralyzed, everyone began to scream, pleading for the copies of themselves to stop telling them lies. Outraged, the second variations of the humans and monsters brought more fear upon them by displaying each person's insecurity and weakness then showing them that they were stronger than us."

"They kept instilling evidence whenever our kind would deny the clear proof in front of them. Everyone lost hope and turned to each other, trying to find someone to blame, asking what was the point of everything they worked for?"

"Ultimately, the Terrific Catastrophy of X020 occurred."

"A group who called themselves The Order was formed, seeing that no god was kind enough to bestow a Divine Intervention, further strengthening the doubt of our kind."

"The Order had one objective."

Inhabit and abide by the same Life,

Despite the temptation to Nullify.

To stroll forward be our Resolution;

Each one would be our Ally

To face the current ongoing Strife

In reviving all we used to Satisfy.
