After finishing the apple, both of us walked out of the apartment. Frisk made sure to lock the apartment door by double-checking once we were like... two meters away from it. It's a habit she developed ever since everything started. It's a good habit; it reassures us that no one will be able to enter and trash the apartment like what keeps happening to other people.

We walked out of the building whilst keeping a conversation between us with only whispers and hushed voices. Being loud is too risky, but Frisk's random pickup lines keep throwing me off.

I want to get her a boyfriend but also don't want her to have one. "A." The world is a shitty place now for love, "B." Where are we supposed to get her a boy? "C." She might forget about me if she does get one, "D." She doesn't have the responsibility to have one, and the list goes on. "Hey, are you even listening to my flirts?"
"No."
"Why not?"
"Everything you say can't even be close to an attempt at flirting."

Frisk huffs and looks away as if I was the one who was annoying her. I rolled my eyes and punched her arm slightly before sighing. "When we survive this... Hell... Let's find you a boyfriend," I say in an attempt to cheer her up.

...

"What if we don't survive this hell?" She asks which seemed to make the world quieter than it already was.

That question she asked caught me off guard... Is, she all of a sudden, gaining doubt? Did something happen? What caused her to think so lowly?

I turned towards her cautiously and looked her in the eye. "Don't think about that," I stated as I furrowed my brows in a questioning manner. She looked back at me with an expression on her face in reply.

That look...

I don't want to see that look on her face. It doesn't suit her appearance and her personality. Wasn't she always filled with fidelity? What caused her to be concerned about this? We've lived our lives like this for months already, and our friendship started so much longer before that. Certainly, there must be something bothering her.

"What's wrong?" I asked quietly as I stopped in my tracks and stood, one arm on my hip and the other one lazily carrying the eco-bag, which I brought with us, on my shoulder. She stopped as well and looked at me; her ecstatic face was long gone and was replaced with worry.

"I'm just... Unsure of everything. I mean, w-we can't live like this forever, right?" She stuttered as she faced the ground, her bangs covered her eyes as she shook slightly. Is she crying?

My mind went into a state of panic... What the actual fuck am I suppose to do?!

Reassure her!

"Aw c'mon, Frisk! Don't be like that... Yeah sure we're not certain of whatever's 'gonna happen to us in the future but we'll survive. We got our knives and we're still living our lives, eh?" My attempt to cheer her up was genuine, it was followed after with a casual right-arm hug around her shoulders.

I poked her forehead.

"Let's get goin'. there's still a long way ahead of us." I grinned. That pun was enough to lighten up her mood and make her smile. I knew for sure that farcical jokes are enough to cheer anyone up.

"Dork," she said.

"Bruh, if anyone's the dork here it's you, ya dingus." I grinned as I pushed her slightly away from me, making her laugh.

There we go, positivity should always overpower negativity.

With our hoods up, our black cloaks flapped up and down behind our backs with the wind as we sprinted on the roofs of random buildings. I was carrying the bag with the goods we stole.

Several officers are currently hot on our tails with guns, bows, and magic projectiles constantly being fired at us. However, it was as if this was a scene in Star Wars, where no stormtrooper could hit a single person. To be honest, they all should get fired.

"STOP!!" One of the officers yelled. She looked like some kind of a humanoid fish. She kept on throwing spears at us at an incredible speed but kept missing terribly. Frisk and I went up another roof higher; we showed no signs of stopping.

Eventually, it got to the point where we were so high up, they couldn't see us anymore. So, we stopped in our tracks and silently hid on the roof.

We heard several loud footsteps pass by, accompanied by orders and shouts like "Hurry!".

Heh, they really all are idiots.

When the commotion died down, Frisk and I brought our hoods back down and took them off. We placed them inside the yellow bag and zipped it up.

She brought out a plastic bag from her pocket and handed it over to me. Thankfully, the yellow bag was able to fit inside the plastic bag. Now, it just looked like I was carrying a shit ton of groceries.

I sighed in relief whilst Frisk jumped slightly in satisfaction. I picked up the bag and placed it on my shoulders. We jumped down the building, seeing that no one was watching, and walked to where the officers came from; no one really bothers to double-check the places they've already been to whenever they were in a hurry.

"Nice job triggering that alarm," I stated whilst I playfully punched her arm. She grumbled and rubbed her sides. "You would've triggered it too if you were the one going first!" She retorted.

"If I went first, I would use my brain before walking into vaults," I said and chuckled at her annoyed expression. She only grumbled again in response as we walked back home.

Eventually, we did reach our apartment building. We got inside and Frisk unlocked the door for me.

We went in, locked it again, and set up the loot we got on the table.

Ahhh, another day, another successful theft.
