I really really really loved writing this story – ever since the idea first arrived in my head, every spare moment has been dedicated to writing it, on aeroplanes, on buses, on trains, in taxis, and for hours every evening after work. 20,000 words in less than 5 days - I just couldn't get it typed fast enough!!
I'm not really sure why, but I decided to make colours a theme throughout this story, which is not something I've ever paid much attention to in my writing before. Wherever possible I've described colours with as much detail as I can, and a lot of additional time and research has gone into the hidden meanings to ensure I've picked the colour with the most appropriate symbolism for what I'm describing.
