"Code pink
hot pink"

           Ray

"Hey ,you okay?"
            Katy

"Ray!"
         Inny

"I'm not okay ,kinda am though
but not really ,you should be
here already ,i need you guys!!"
                                 Ray

"Ray...you in there?"

Finally they are here!I hate what I'm feeling, if I keep it in for a minute longer I might explode.

"It's not locked " I whisper yelled from my hiding place .

I could see Katy push the door gently from my safe haven,she had a worried look on her face, she walked in while looking around my room I suppose for any sign of life

"Ray...." From the door she couldn't see me ,her worried face was slowly morphing into a panicked face,on different circumstances I would have laughed at her but not today,I needed her beside me.

Raising my hand from almost beneath my bed I responded so she could see me ,"Right here ,under the duvet"

"You can tell me what the problem is,you know you can trust me right ?" Katy said while crouching  to my eye level

She knew I had trust issues and even though she was my best friend, I still found it hard to fully confide in them, I chose to ignore her question and reply with another instead

"Is Inny here?

" She went to the grocery to get some fruits for mom but she must be coming back already "

"I can't tell you if she's not here ,I don't want to repeat what I have to say,its too scary "

I'm probably over reacting,but to hell ,I couldn't go through this alone when I had four listening ears.

As if on cue ,Inny came rushing in with a two small shopping bags on her hands

"I'm sorry I'm late ,I was out running some errands for mom and by some errands I mean getting some fruits from the grocery store when I got the text ,I decided to get some ice cream too ,there's nothing ice cream can't fix so I thought.....

She looked at Katy ,who had a sad look on ,then slowly turned to look at me ,seeing my teary eyes, her face fell at once

" Sorry I'm rumbling, are you okay Ray ,of course you're not okay,why am I asking something that's so obvious! " Inny's  tone changed to her normal voice as she came to sit on the little empty space on my right.

I scooted over to create some more space for her ,leaving me sandwiched between my two best friends.

Usually Inny is quiet and more composed than Katy but anxiety gets her all out of control and more talkative .

"Ray...what is it?" Katy gently asked

"I'm sorry I used the hot pink code on you ,i didn't know what else to do and..."

I could not complete my statement

Oh no! I was getting emotional,not good,I couldn't loose control

"Hey it's okay,just breath ,here have this," Inny handed me an ice cream spoon while Katy took one ice cream tin out of the shopping bag.

Why was it hard for me to put my emotions into words,my friends deserved better than what I was offering.

Accepting the spoon ,I opened the tin  and began eating the ice cream, soon we were all eating in silence ,no one bothering to talk.

Katy and Inny were giving me time to compose myself so I could tell them what had gotten me in such a bad mood .Amazing how they knew how to handle my emotional side ,when I couldn't face them,I usually choose the safest escape,either run from them or ignore them but not today.

"I found my  true soulmate"I whispered but loud enough for both of them to here me.

" what!....Katy screamed out but it came out more like a wheeze before bursting into fits of laughter

At the same time Inny chocked on her ice cream which caused a coughing spree , disguising her laughter.

Were they seriously laughing at me right now!

Didn't I deserve a true soulmate?
