"Where are you? I'm outside your apartment."
I let out a breath, my eyelids still heavy, and I glance toward the soft humming emanating from the kitchen. "I'm...at Jimin's."
"You're - wait, what?!" Hoseok sounds like he's choking, coughing aggressively for a moment. "You're at Jimin's? It's seven a.m., Yoongi, what the actual frick happened?!"
"Nothing," I lower my voice, letting out a soft breath. "We just...fell asleep."
"How late were you there?! Actually, just tell me when I get there. I'm on my way."
"Hoseok, you can't - "
"Oh, shut up, I'm bringing Taehyung so it's not weird. I'll see you in ten." He hangs up before I can protest anymore, and I groan slightly, passing a hand over my eyes, wiping the sleep out of them.
"Hey, you're awake."
I glance up, Jimin smiling at me from the doorway making my cheeks heat, and I nod.
"I was making breakfast. Just eggs and fried rice, but it's food. You want to come eat with me? Jamie's still asleep, so we need to save some food for her, but I made enough for all of us," his eyes crinkle at me and I nod slightly, standing, giving him a small smile as I make my way toward him, into the kitchen.
There's a plate already made on the table, eggs and rice and sausage, and I can't help a small smile as Jimin tilts his head toward it, giving me a bright grin. "That's yours. I'll make myself a plate then join you."
"Thanks," I murmur, and I make my way to the chair, sitting and watching
as he buzzes around the kitchen, making himself a plate, pouring two cups of coffee."You've got such a cute morning voice," Jimin grins, sitting across from me, and I flush, taking a bite of rice to avoid replying as he continues. "Is it okay? I was worried about cooking for someone other than me and Jamie, she tends to eat whatever because she knows she'll starve if she insults my food. Our cousin cooks for us when he's in town, I wish he were right now so you could try his food. It's amazing, he actually owns a cafe."
"This is good," I say quietly, my eyes on the way his blonde hair is ruffled messily, his smile bright. "You're a good cook."
His eyes crinkle happily and he sets down his fork to smile at me, leaning his chin on his hand, his voice soft. "I'm sorry I kept you out, but I had fun yesterday."
I nod slightly, my face warming, and he just smiles at me, the room quiet for a moment before he speaks softly once more.
"Would you want to go out again?"
I look at him, unsure what he means, and he gives me a small smile. "For real this time. An actual da - "
"Morning!" The front door slams behind Taehyung's happy voice, cutting Jimin off, and I press a hand to my face, my cheeks burning as I let out a shaky breath. He was just about to officially ask me out. I'm sure of it.
Hoseok appears in the doorway, Taehyung clinging to him, and he grins at us. "Aw, such a cute domestic scene."
I shoot him a death glare and he just chuckles, making his way into the kitchen, picking up a piece of sausage from the pan on his way by, leaning against the counter. "Taetae wanted to see you, Jimin, and I heard from my Yoongles that something happened last night."
Jimin's eyes widen, an almost panicked look in them. "What?"
"You two cuddled to sleep," Taehyung's voice is muffled in Hoseok's neck, and he turns his head to grin at us, his face bright with mischief. "Or maybe it was more. Like how in movies they're always saying they slept together when they really mean - "
"You guys want food? I'll make plates," Jimin interrupts him, shaking his head at Taehyung as he hurries to a cabinet. Taehyung and Hoseok grin at each other, having successfully made our breakfast a chaotic, embarrassing situation.
"Ew, Taehyung, it's too early for energy," Jamie grumbles slightly as she appears in the doorway, rubbing her eyes. "And congrats, Jimin told me you and Hoseok - wait, Jimin, why is Yoongi having breakfast with us so early?"
I press a hand to my face, and Hoseok and Taehyung laugh at Jimin's annoyance as he swats at Jamie with a dishtowel. "We were out late so he slept over. Just shut up and get breakfast."
Jamie joins the engaged couple at the counter, grinning at Jimin, and he shakes his head, sitting down across from me again. "You need anything else, Yoongs?"
"My sanity," I mumble, and he grins, his eyes lighting up with happiness.
"That's the first time you've joked with me."
I glance up from my plate, meeting his eyes, and he smiles at me, his eyes soft. "I like it. You have a great sense of humor."
I break eye contact, my face heating, and as I look away from him I meet Hoseok's eyes; he grins at me widely. "Jimin, isn't Yoongi cute when he wakes up?"
"Hoseok - " I splutter slightly, my face heating, and Jimin presses a hand to his forehead.
"I will kick you guys out. It's my apartment."
Taehyung grins. "What, you don't want us talking about how Yoongi has messy hair and cute little sleepy eyes and - "
Jimin groans, his cheeks pink. "Taehyung."
"I'm just saying, you two need to - "
"I will kick you out, Kim Taehyung."
"You know you love me. Just like you love - "
"Out!"
