School was tiring. School was always tiring. Harper kept bragging about how it was her best friends birthday in every class we have together! It got kinda annoying but I can't blame her because on her birthday, let's just say: every class was literally a party.
I was home now and it's 5:45. Harper is trying to find me an outfit.
"Ugh, you have nothing skanky!" She groans and I roll my eyes.
"Yeah, and your upset, why?"
"You need something to wear for the party." She starts. "You literally have no short dresses."
"I- I have dresses." I defend, hoping off the bed and going to my closet. "I don't need a short dress. Maybe I don't need a dress at all-"
"Of course you need one!" She says, crossing her arms. "Oh! I left my one dress here! You can wear that!" She yells, grabbing my arm and pulling me out my room to down the stairs.
"Slow down! Slow down!" I basically chant as we skip stairs, almost falling.
She takes us past the living room, dining room and kitchen and to the basement door. "Go you slow poke!" She pushes me and I almost fall before I grab her shoulders.
I shake her hard. "Harper!" I yell. "Calm down! We still have like three hours, and your already dressed and done and look perfect! So just, take a moment to breathe!" I say.
She sighs before giving me an apologetic smile. "Sorry.." She looks down to her yellow dress.
"It's okay.. so let's go get that dress." I say, going down the stairs and she follows me.
After a few minutes of looking through clothes, "Ah, here it is!" Harper smiles. She shoves a black dress in my face.
I'm pretty sure my face went something like the witches who claimed to be Rapunzels mother before she died towards the end.
"I can't wear that!" I practically shout.
"Why not? You'll look so hot." She bites her lip and I roll my eyes. That was Harpers personality: a flirt. But with me, I knew she was playing around.
"No, you look hot in it. I'd look... different." I groan but she throws it in my face and I catch it before it can smack me. "Just put it on! And wear those red heels." She tells me as we head back up to my room.
"You have so much stairs!" She groans as we get to my room. She flops on my bed.
"There's like only twelve on each level." I say plopping next to her. "there's only two levels, the basement stairs and the stairs leading to my room, meaning about twenty-four stairs. Not a lot at all."
"Yeah right!" She says after a moment. She grabs the dress and puts it on my dresser, then flips onto he bed, rolling on me.
"Harper!" I scream, pushing her off of me.
"Stop pushing my butt!" She laughs and I roll my eyes.
"Don't flatter yourself." I say and she laughs.
"Ou, I like that."
"Shut up." I say, deciding to get off the bed. "I'm gonna go shower and get ready."
"Okay!" Harper shouts, getting on her phone as I walk out.

I got out the shower and got dressed.
"Geez, Alexis, you took like two hours!" Harper shouts. I roll my eyes, slipping the dress on.
"I did not!" I look at the time. 7:03. Oh. "Heh."
"Now we only have like an hour to do everything else. Lets do your hair and a bit of make up won't hurt. Only mascara and highlight- oh and lipstick."
"Ugh. Okay." I say, putting on the red heels. "Harp, I don't think I like this dress on me. It's so short." I say, trying to pull it down more. It went to my middle thigh but I wasn't comfortable with that.
"You look so good, I swear." She nods hardly.
"I don't know-"
"Yes!" She growls and I widen my eyes at her.
"Geez! Fine. Fine. Let's just do this." I sit down in my chair in front of my vanity.
Harper started my hair and then did my makeup. All we did was flatten my hair more since it got all frizzy from the steam in the shower and I put red lipstick on that matched my heels. I put on some highlight.
I never wore much makeup. When we finished, it was already eight. I called my mom to let her know we were leaving and she'd see me at 11:30.
We leave the house. I lock the door and then we walk down the porch to the street to her car.
We got into the car, with Harper jumping and smiling widely because she was excited, and made our way to the party.
"Whoop! Whoop!" Harper chants. I roll my eyes.
"Dork."
"Hey! Be nice." She smirks. "Your so mean to me."
"Whatever. Oh! I have to be back before eleven-thirty hits."
"One-forty, got it." She nods, starting the car.
"No, eleven-thirty." I state as she turns the music up.
"Two-thirty? Okay."
"Harper!" I warn before she sighs.
"Fine, Fine. Eleven-thirty." She frowns and I nod.
"I promised my mother." I say before she nods.
"Okay. Let's go. We will be back before eleven thirty. We can still have tons of fun! Oh and remember, you're designated driver."
"Yeah, yeah. Whatever." I say before she turns the music up way louder.
