Chapter 2: Taking A Chance On A New Adventure

Klaus' POV
I smiled as I got off the phone with Caroline. Shortly after that I started vamp speeding around my room packing my bags when Elijah came into the room with a worried look on his face.

"Where might you be going in such a hurry little brother?" Elijah asked me.

I just smiled at him. "Ah I see your going after her, aren't you?" He asked me with small smile on his face.

"Don't try to stop me Elijah because for once in my life I'm happy. I have to go see her. I have to find out for myself if there could be something between us. Caroline is the one I've been waiting for & I'm not letting her go not again not this time. So I love you Elijah your my brother but so help me god don't stand in my way." I told him....warning him.

"Good luck." He said as I walked out of the house & got into my car.

The last thing I heard Elijah say before I left was, "by the way, not to sound to odd but thank you for saying what you did its nice to hear every once in a while." I smiled....I had to smile at that.

*The next morning*

I arrived at Mystic Falls a place I never thought I'd be back to. I called Caroline once I got further into town.

*Klaus & Caroline's phone call*

Klaus: Caroline where are you?

Caroline: I'm at my house & all packed & ready to go. Before you even ask I don't know where Tyler is or where he's going & I don't care to know.

Klaus: Fair enough. I'll see you soon.

Caroline: Hurry up already. *both laughed* Seriously I wanna get out of here before my mom comes home from her shift that she had last night.

Caroline's POV

The next thing I knew I heard my door bell ring.

"He knows he doesn't have to ring the stupid door bell....he can just come right in." I said quietly to myself as I was headed towards the door.

"I know but I wanted be a gentlemen. I also wanted to give you a minute to make sure that you're sure you're not making a mistake by taking my offer to show you the world." He said looking at the ground for a brief moment.

"Oh I thought about it." I said to him obviously picking on him.

He didn't waste any time hugging me tightly which if I were a human he'd probably crash my back. I didn't mind though I missed him so much.

"I missed you so much Caroline." He said in the crook of my neck.

"I've missed you too. Make me a promise please for me." I said sweetly in his ear.

"Anything, love." He said.

"Promise me you won't leave me & promise me you won't go after Tyler." I said.

"Caroline." He started to say but I cut him off before he could finish.

"I know....I know Tyler broke my heart & you absolutely hate....but listen to me it's not worth it Klaus he isn't worth it. Just promise me you'll stay away from him." I said.

"Fine I won't hurt him for you love but if he comes back & tries to take you back or even thinks about coming after you & hurting you I will show him no mercy." He firmly told me which I kind of found little sexy but didn't want to admit that to him or myself at least not yet.

"Thank you Klaus. He's been through a lot in the last few years not that I'm defending him or anything. Its just..." I started to say.

"He was your first love its okay I understand but my threat still stands & will always stand." He said.

"Yeah & I know." I said.

"I won't let anyone hurt ever again or take you away from me. If you choose me that's it Caroline your stuck with me." He said in slightly cocky way.

"Okay but let's take this slow we're just friends Klaus for now at least." I told him confidently.

"Fair enough." He said smiling my favorite smile.

"Now where are you taking me? You did say once that you were going to show me the world." I told him.

"Hmmmmm I was thinking maybe Paris first. Girls today seem to love there. It is one of the most romantic places on earth." He said.

"YES!!!!! Let's go!!" I screamed in excitement & he laughed at me.

"What? I've been wanting to go there since I can remember." I told him.

"Nothing sweetheart your just adorable when your excited that's all." He said & I rolled my eyes at him.

"Let's get out of here." I told him.

"As you wish love." He said smiling at me & then we left.
